We will be going to Disney in the near future and will be staying on site. All of our reservations are made. We are thinking about adding the dining plan (first time). I assume I can do that when we arrive at the hotel. Is that correct, or do I need to call ahead? Thanks.

I believe you need to call ahead to add the DDP-someone else, I am sure, can tell you just how far out you must call to add it. Have you made ADRs? They have become a necessity if you want to eat at many of the TS places in Disney. :upsidedow

Adding the DDP will turn your res into a package. Everyone in the group will need to add a minimum of a 1 day MYW ticket, along with the DDP. Depends on availability, etc.
The DDP cannot be added on in less than three days of arrival. (Unless you are have a DVC res.)

Thanks for the information. I do have ADRs and I will be staying at a DVC. Does that make a difference with regard to calling ahead?

With a DVC reservation on points you must call prior to check in to add the DDP. Keep in mind that Member Services has more limited hours than DRC.

If by chance you are renting points, the member must add DDP to your reservation.
