Dining Plan & our ADR

Dh and I decided to get the dining plan for our upcoming vacation to WDW. We are staying 7 days, 6 nights and have 6 day park hopper tickets. We picked the places we most wanted TS and made ADR's. Now we need to decide which ones to use credits for and which to pay for out of pocket. If we pay out of pocket, we'll probably not order desert. Which of these places have the best desert? I'm thinking of paying for the breakfasts. Which would you pay for? What would be most cost effective?

We have the following TS ADR's planned:

50's Prime Time Cafe - lunch
Spirit of Aloha - dinner *2 credits
CRT - lunch *2credits
Crystal Palace - breakfast
Ohana - breakfast
Akershus - lunch.

We are great Akershus fans and they have a dessert we love.. it is their version of rice pudding with strawberries in like a syrup on top.

Anyone else, care to comment on desserts for her restaurants....

I agree, we love Akershus! Akershus and CRT are the only 2 restaurants that we are really familiar with.

I'm confused. I just ate at CRT lunch 9/28 and it only cost me 1 credit...has the plan changed and now it takes 2?

The dessert was yummy there though!

I would suggest you pay oop for one of the breakfasts, since the plan includes an appetizer and dessert, and I can't see getting those at breakfast. Also, any buffet will include appetizers and dessert in the price, so maybe Akershus.

February 2006, the prices go up for CRT.

IMHO, based on your ADRs, I would pay out of pocket for CRT. Even with the price increase, it is not worth losing 2 TS credits. We loved our breakfast in the castle with the princesses, but pricewise, it did not compare to the dinner we had at Jiko later in the week. And if you pay for CRT out of pocket, it will be the ony TS meal you have to pay for based on your itinerary.

Thanks, dh and I just went through the menus to get an idea of cost. It turns out that CRT wasn't worth 2 TS credits for us so, I just paid for it! Thanks for the advice!
