dining plan on first and last days

Hi everyone
This board is such a wealth of info - i just love it!

We are going to Disney for the first time in November, on the Land/Sea adventure. We elected to get the DDP for the days we will be in DW.
My question is this...
Do we get meal tickets (or whatever they use) for the day we arrive and the day we leave for the cruise? Or just for the full days that we are there?

If anyone knows, it would be very helpful from a planning point of view!

The dining credits will be on your room keys. When you use them to pay for meal they swipe your card and they are deducted from the total.

Your credits equal the number of nights you are staying. So if you are staying four nights you will have four table service, four snacks and four quick service per person. You can use more than one credit per person per day if you want. So if one person wants to buy a soda and a popcorn they could use two snack credits in one day.

Hi! When you purchase the DDP, it is for the number of nights that you have paid to stay in a resort (we are there 9 nights/10 days so we get 9 TS, 9 CS, and 9 snacks per person to use). The day of check-out (until midnight) you may use any remaining credits. I hope this helps! Have a wonderful trip!

Yes, that would be nice but you may be surprised and have left over TS & CS... we did and we are a family that truly enjoys a good meal! We ended up trading 4 TS for CS (used as breakfast, they threw in a bonus lanyard with 2 pins last year) and then still spent 5 more CS before we left "The World" (packed the extra 2 meals in the cooler for the trip home).

If you are like we were last year (with numerous snack credits left as well) you can use those all at once! We brought 18 (pre-packaged) Rice Krispee treats home (all shapes)... we spent our pooled credits all at once in the gift shop near Dinoland (AK). These did not take up much room when tucked into our suitcase (a real plus)! These were great treats to share with neices and nephews and to have here at home to remind of us our wonderful trip!

We always have CS credits leftover, always. Last year, we had 7 CS credits and 1 TS leftover. The only thing I can come up with for the leftover TS is that we one of the servers didn't charge us for DS3 and I didn't catch it at the time.
