UPDATE!! - I found that touringplans.com has updated menus that show snack credit icons, in case anyone else is interested in researching what counts as a snack credit!

It's been a very long time since I've used the DDP, but we're using it for our upcoming adults-only trip because we're just there to eat, vibe, and not kill ourselves to ride everything this time.
I know that qualifying snack options have the purple DDP icon next to them on the menu at the parks, and not every snack qualifies for DDP. If you go to the official online menus on the WDW website or the app, they don't have the icons to let you plan how you want to use your credits. So, does anyone have any decent resources, pictures of menus with the icons, or suggestions for snacks they love and know they qualify? Or does anyone know of some hot ticket snacks that don't qualify but are worth paying extra for? I know Disney Food Blog has a Dining Plan Guide, but it is £11.00 (~$14), and I don't know if it's worth spending money on a guide.
I wish they'd have the icons on the online menu. Plus, it's the same issue for specialty cocktails. How are you supposed to know which cocktails are able to be included in your meal credit?
Many thanks in advance for all your help!

Mobil ordering tells you what drinks qualify.

Drinks which include a souvenir cup are generally excluded. Ask if you can get it i. A regular mug.

Menus change. I wouldn't waste money on an unofficial guide. It could be wrong or outdated...

You want to plan which snacks you want to purchase. In the real world that would be overplanning. On DIS, maybe not.

Some items are a better value for using snack credits than others. You want to spend your credits on things that would cost a lot of $$ out of pocket. Examples: specialty coffees (you can get the largest size and extra flavorings/espresso shots/milk substitutions are included), funnel cakes, ice cream sandwiches, Mickey Pretzels (with cheese), milkshakes, etc. Some of these things cost $8+ which is a great deal, but I'd say anything $6.50 & up is worth it.

I guess it's a matter of knowing which of those pricey snacks qualify. I can't remember which video I was watching, but it showed some snack cart menu and only one of the items even counted for a snack credit. Also, are even the expensive signature cocktails part of a meal credit? Like $15 cocktails?

Sorry pressed post too soon! I'm pulling together some specifics for you. Stay tuned!

So all of the snacks I mentioned count. I'm a TA and I just did a whole thing on this last week when I was there. Funnel cakes from Sleepy Hollow in Magic Kingdom (with berries, powdered sugar, and whipped cream). Dino-Dig Ice Cream Sandwich from Dino-Bites in Animal Kingdom. Mickey pretzel and cheese from anywhere. Milkshakes from Auntie Gravity's in Magic Kingdom. Specialty coffees from anywhere, including Starbucks (mine was a venti iced caramel mocha with an extra shot of espresso and oat milk). There are lots more options too. And yes, pretty much every specialty beverage counts with meals. For example, I got a $17 pink paloma with my $15.79 shrimp and rice bowl...all for one Q-S credit. Oh and for breakfast one time, my daughter and I mobile ordered the $12.99 savanna platter and a large specialty coffee (it ended up being over $9) from The Mara and split the whole meal for one Q-S credit. AND one morning I just wanted a granola bar for breakfast but my daughter wanted a full meal, so we mobile ordered something from The Mara and added a canned cocktail for me to put in the fridge for later. Included :). I also got an espresso martini with dinner one time at 1900 Park Fare. That was a great T-S credit value!

Thanks for the recommendations. This will be the first adult's only trip I've done since 2010, and I've never had alcohol at Disney before. So, any favorite drink recommendations are appreciated as well. Everything looks so amazing on the menus.

I am a big pina colava fan. And the Orbiting Oreos drink at Sci-Fi. And The Voyager at the Oasis pool bar at the Poly…

I’ve watched this channel on YouTube that recorded every current menu at every park and Disney Springs in a few different videos. Its been a big help. Here is the one for Animal Kingdom which is the toughest info to find in my opinion:

Yup. I had a $24 glass of wine on my last trip.

Does anyone know if the ice cream cookie sandwich at Plaza Ice Cream parlor is a snack on the DDP. The Disney website menus have it on the menu, but of course they don't indicate the snack symbol. I checked out the Youtube channel noted above, and his menu picture doesn't even list the cookie on the menu. AllEars.net has it as a menu item but not a snack item on the DDP. Since this is my favorite snack at Disney World, it may determine whether we get the DDP or not. Thank you.

I found this link that has the DDP snack icons! It says last verified June 21, 2024 and shows the ice cream cookie sandwich as a snack credit.

Just to clarify so I'm sure I'm understanding, when the QS credit says it comes with a beverage, it doesn't have to be just pop or water? You can get a specialty coffee or even a specialty drink? I'm just shocked because that's awesome and I want to be sure to get the best bang for my buck.

I don't like alcohol, but there are some fun non-alcoholic drinks at QS locations that I'd much rather have than pop. For example, at Docking Bay would it work to get the Moof Juice as the beverage with my QS meal?

Sorry if these questions have already been asked a million times, but I haven't used the DDP since 2019 and we're using it on our trip this December.

Thank you in advance for the help and the great information!

A lot of the "fun" drinks are included, but some aren't. It's best to ask, like drinks with the glow cubes aren't included but sometimes you can get them without the cube. It should also be indicated when using mobile order if it is included or not.

Yes, all specialty drinks that don’t have a souvenir glowcube in them qualify! Even the ones in a souvenir stein qualify, you just don't get the souvenir stein.

Yes you get a specialty beverage with every Q-S and T-S credit. This can just be bottled water or soda if that's what you want. But if can also be alcoholic beverages or non-alcoholic specialty beverages like smoothies, milkshakes, mocktails...pretty much any drink you want!

We have 3 adults that need to know people have you done with extra snack package credits So we have 7 night packages for 3 people, one of which can only stay 5 days and we come in at 11pm for the first day. Departure day is early on the 8th morning.

Are you paying for the DP? If so, it might be cheaper drop it and just pay OOP. If it is "free" as part of a package and you still have time, you may also want to see if you can cancel the package part and get a room discount and pay out of pocket for your food. In the past when we have had extra snack credits, we went to the resort gift shop and used it for packaged candy/snacks (that are included) and brought them home.
