Just got back from our trip and wanted to thank everyone who helped me with advice, tips, info... The dining plan was great, worked for us, would do it again. The DISboard is a wonderful resource... :)

We ate at Akershus for dinner, Marrakesh (Candlelight Processional package) for dinner, Biegarten for dinner, Sci-Fi for lunch, Mama Melrose (Fantasmic package) for dinner, Cinderella's Royal Table for lunch.

Biegarten was very kid-friendly, and our kids had fun dancing and playing a game with the oompah band. They enjoyed that the most, especially because they gave out gold coins at the end.

We have girls, hence the Akershus and CRT meals with all the princesses. Unfortunately, my girls are getting older, so the princesses didn't dazzle them as much as they did when we went to Disneyland. I however was still excited to see them.

At Sci-Fi, my girls asked why the girls in the movies keep screaming and getting carried off by monsters. "Are the girls weak?," asked my daughter, she of the Mulan-warrior era. We still can't get that Beware of the Blob song out of our heads.

It was fun watching the belly dancer at Morroco--she's gorgeous and graceful. It would be more fun (but cost more for Disney) if there were more than one, say two or three girls dancing.

Mama Melrose, I wouldn't pick since Italian restaurants are a dime a dozen in the San Francisco area, if not for the Fantasmic seats. The food was good, though, arguably the best we've had there. The other restaurants we picked mainly for entertainment value.

Counter-service we enjoyed were Sunshine Station in Epcot, Tusker House in AK, Cosmic Ray's in MK, Toy Story Pizza Planet in MGM. Liked having more than just the usual burgers and fries. The curry at ABC Commissary in MGM did not have enough meat, though, only about two pieces, and left me hungry.

I highly recommend the dining plan if you have kids under 10, because that $10.95 a day is sure worth it.

Thanks for the reviews and update. I'm glad you found the Dining Plan a good deal for you and your children.
