Dining Plan - I am confused - HELP

We have free dining plan for our trip end of Aug/beginning of Sept.

It says: each person gets 1 snack, 1 CS, and 1 TS per night.

How do I know what qualifies for snack?? Is there a amount limit for snack??

For CS - what do you get?

For TS - can you order appetizer, entree, dessert and a drink???

I am so confused - pls help.

Counter Service and Table Service describe the restaurant itself. The Disney restaurants are separated into the types of food/level of service they provide. Go here to see all the dining plans. If you open the PDF, it will tell you which restaurants are in which plan.

It seems very overwhelming at first, but Disney does a great job of making sure that it makes sense once you are there.

One thing about the snacks is that there isn't a set amount, but items that qualify for snacks have a purple and white symbol next to them that helps you determine at a glance what is a snack and what is not.

If you want a general idea of what is a snack and what is not before you go, check out the Confirmed Snack Sticky at the top of this forum. It's not an official list from Disney, but jjohnson works to keep it a very accurate account of what is and isn't a snack credit.


If you still have quesitons after reading the PDF, feel free to ask them here. There are many helpful people on the boards who will be happy to answer all your questions.

For example:

If CS location has: soup/salad, entree, sides, dessert, and drink. Am I allowed to get one from each category???

At CS locations for lunch and dinner you get an Entree, Dessert and Non-Alcoholic Beverage.

At virtually all locations that entree is part of a 'combo' and it comes with a side item (such as fries).

As a PP said, snacks will have a purple/white DDP symbol next to them at the restaurant/cart. Basically anything under $4.00 will count as a snack.

For CS, you will receive 1 entree/combo meal, 1 drink, and 1 dessert.

For TS, the appetizer is no longer included. You will receive 1 entree, 1 drink, and 1 dessert.

Gratuity is not included, either, so be prepared to leave a tip if you are so incined.
