We are staying on the CL for our trip in December, my son's first trip for his birthday. Just me, husband and the boy. :)

We usually do the DDDP {does that say Deluxe Disney Dining Plan?} but being on the concierge level, I'm planning on doing the lounge for breakfast most days so I went back and did the regular DDP. Still with me? We are there 6 nights, 7 days, MVMCP on the first night. We use meals to take breaks so we don't like to skip or eat on the go. Anyway I'm over my TS credits by 1-3 depending on some things. Does it make sense yet to upgrade to the Deluxe again? If not, what should we pay OOP for? I saw something that suggested I pay OOP for Ca Grill? Does that make sense? We are a share an appetizer, two entrees, maybe one dessert date night couple. And wine! :)

Right now I'm planning...
Day 1
Ohana- late lunch
MVMCP

Day 2
MK QS-Lunch
Whispering Canyon-dinner

Day 3
Tusker House- breakfast {this is a maybe depending on if we get Chef Mickey on his bday}
Flame Tree- Lunch
California Grill- date night for mom and dad

Day 4
Chef Mickey- breakfast
MK QS- lunch
1900 PF- dinner

Day 5
Epcot QS- lunch
Teppan Edo/Via Napoli or Mexican TS- dinner {taking suggestions!}

Day 6
Woody's Lunch Box QS- lunch {Toy Story Obsessed 4 year old so this is a must}
Coral Reef- dinner

Day 7
Roll home...

*If* you decide to do Via Napoli and get pizza, that's a definite OOP.

After that, signature meals are generally a poor use of 2 credits on the standard DDP.

If the plan is to do Tusker OR Chef Mickey, then I would pay OOP for CG and you're all set. As DisBuckMan says, you would have a hard time getting your $40 per credit out of CG with just entree, dessert, and drink. Remember, no apps on regular DDP.

If you decide to do both Tusker and CM, then pay OOP for Via Napoli.
