Dining Plan From Check In To Check Out

I was just wondering...

If our flight comes in at 10:00am on June 17th and departs at 7:00pm on June 24th, how does the dining plan work?

1st - do we start our credits at check-in and end at check-out?

2nd - do we get full credit for both of those days? (1 ts, 1 cs, and 1 snack)
or do we get partial credit for each day?

If anyone could clarify this that would be great!!!

Lastly - we have a 2 year old in our party, I know that children 3 and under eat free at buffets, but most of the ressies that we have made are meals that have to be ordered directly off of a menu ex- rose & crown, Le Cellier, California Grill, Whispering Canyon, etc... Should we go ahead and purchase a childs dining package. I might not want to get chicken all the time to split with her. ( her favorite)

You will get 1 dinner, 1 counter service and 1 snack for every night you stay.
So in your case it will be a total of 7 each. I would not purchase a seperate plan for the 2 year old unless she eats alot. If you are at a buffet she can eat from your plate. Hope this helps!

Remember that you'd need to also buy a ticket at the same level as the rest of your party for your 2-year old in order to add him/her to the dining plan; everyone must have the same nights/tickets to get it.

It sounds like it would be better to just pay out of pocket for a child's meal rather than mess with the dining plan in this case.

Your credits will be good all day on check-out day as well. If you'd like to check out, then go use a credit, that should be fine. I'm not sure how you'd use one before check-in since you wouldn't have the room key the DP was encoded on. However, if your room isn't ready, you can check in and leave your bags with the staff while you go off and enjoy the parks and your dining credits.

As for the 2 year old, if you'd spend as much or more out of pocket at your DP meals for her food (don't forget tax and tip, which add up fast at about 8% tax - I think - plus 20% tip), then it's worth buying. If she'd just want a few nibbles off of your appetizer, or if sharing your appetizer would be enough for her, then it's possible you'd be happier not buying the DP for her.

As stated earlier, you'll get a TS, CS, & SN for each night's stay. If you arrive at 10am (and will probably be at your resort by 11:15 or so), you can check in -- provided the room is available, or at least activate your passes. Once they're activated by the front desk, you can begin your meal plan. My understanding has been that though you may check out at 11am on the final day (as per resort regs) you are still able to utilize your meal plan until the conclusion of that day. You will not, however be permitted to make charges to your room as you've already "settled up."

Just as your vacation, we've got (in effect) more days at WDW than we do nights. As such, I've used allearsnet to review the menues in attempt to determine which of our meals would be the cheapest, and plan to pay for that one OOP, saving a credit for a more valuable meal and stretching the overall plan by a day.

We always make charges to our room after we've checked out. Its never been a problem and they simply charge our credit card.

2 year olds are free. They are not considered part of a plan. You will have to pay for any person over three and they will have to be on the plan. trust me with everyone getting a app. Meal and dessert there will be plenty for you to feed your 2yr old off the plate. for other non table meals you can always just buy a little extra to feed Him/her. And if you all order things she don't like you could always get a little extra for her.

As for your meal credits you will have them the moment you check in.

Marciagms is right about the amount. 1 of each per night of stay.

As far as the last day your coupons expire at Midnight on the last Day of your Stay. So you will still be able to use them after checkout.

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Wow that really helps to clarify things!!! Thank you so much for everyones help and suggestions. It looks like we will just purchase extra kids meals where needed and other than that, shared from our plates. I didnt know that you could share plates...some places frown on that, its good to know that that wont be a problem

Thanks so much :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Me too, they just charge the remainder as a separate charge on your card.
