How does the dining plan work for a 14 month old. Do I have to purchase it? It seems silly to pay that kind of money for a baby. If they just eat off of our plates, how does that work at a character meal buffet? Thanks!

The child can eat for free off your plates at any meal including charecter meals. If you need to order anything for that child you would have to pay for it. Or, at least you should expect to, although some servers will not charge you.

At a buffet or family style meal, a child under age 3 eats for free. This includes a beverage, and he/she may make his/her own trips to the buffet line and eat anything he/she likes. At restaurants where you order off a menu, the child can eat off of your food (they will supply a plate) at no charge. You may choose to order something for the child and pay OOP. Technically, you should have to pay to order a beverage for the child, but one sometimes appears with no charge being assessed.
