Hi All!

I did post this on the Dining Plan board but only go one response and hoped you guys could give me a killer more feedback.

I am a Disney old timer but this is our first year on the disney dining plan! We will be on our Honeymoon so want it to be really special! We have booked the majority of our ADRs and just wanted some people to take a look at what we have planned to make sure we are really getting the best out of the dining plan. Not 100% on all our QS's yet but thats something we can see how we feel on the day.

The below is for two adults - 28 TS Credits and 28 QS Credits:

Day 1 - Arrive at hotel approx 5pm - D: QS at Earl of Sandwich - 2 QS Used to date
Day 2 - Typhoon Lagoon - L: QS – Epcot - D: Tokyo Dining (6:30pm) - 4 QS and 2 TS used to date
Day 3 - Off site day
Day 4 - DHS - L: QS at Starring Rolls - MK - Liberty Tree Tavern (7:30pm) - 6 QS and 4 TS used to date
Day 5 - Off Site
Day 6 - Off Site
Day 7 - B: Hotel QS - Typhoon Lagoon - L: QS - DTD - D: T-Rex (8pm) - 10 QS and 6 TS used to date
Day 8 - B- Boma (10:05am) - Animal Kingdom - L: Tusker House (4pm) - DHS - D: QS at DHS or Hotel - 12 QS and 10 TS used to date
Day 9 - Epcot - L: Via Napoli (12:45pm) - Pool - D: Cape May Cafe (8pm) - 12 QS and 14 TS used to date
Day 10 - B: Kona Cafe (9am) - MK - L: QS at Be Our Guest - DHS - D: 50's Prime Time Cafe (7pm) - 14 QS and 18 TS used to date
Day 11 - B: Hotel QS - D: Wolfgang Puck - Pay OOP for this as will share different Sushi dishes and not booked ADR - 16 QS and 18 TS used to date
Day 12 - B: Hotel QS - Blizzard Beach - L: QS - D: Boma (7:45pm) - 20 QS and 20 TS used to date
Day 13 - Epcot - L: Using sharing 2 QS and eating around the world - D: Narcoossee (8pm) - 24 QS and 24 TS used to date
Day 14 - B: Hotel QS - DHS - L: QS - MK - D: O'hanas (5:20pm) - 28 QS and 26 TS used to date
Day 15 - L: HOB - Not booked ADR - 28 QS and 28 TS used to date

If anyone has any suggestions for QS location that would be recommended.

Thanks

I don't think you will want a lunch & dinner TS on the same day. I would probably swap Cape May to Flying Fish as it is a much nicer restaurant for a honeymoon :cloud9:

To gain the credits I wouldn't use ant for breakfast at Kona. I would also move VN to another day.

I would swap LTT for a monorail resort restaurant - we enjoy Grand Fl cafe.

AK day I would ditch Boma breakfast and just have a late breakfast at TH. 2 buffets that close together would be too much for us. Late buffet breakfast and a QS dinner would be enough for us. It also means you get that first hour in the park to hit rides and grab a FP before breakfast :thumbsup2

If you are looking for special - what about a dinner show? Hoop is really good.

I like all your choices apart from T Rex. Personally I thought the food there was horrible. I couldn't do two TS in a day though. Tried it once and it was both too much food and too much time eating. I'd swap 2 meals for a 2 credit place, especially for a honeymoon. If you've paid for the DDP it's not the best use of your credits but if you've got it free anyway why worry! Have a great time eating your way trough Disney :)

looks like some great meals planned there. :thumbsup2
everyone is going to have different opinions. :)
weve managed 3 table meals in 1 day, so it can be done.

We loved T-rex, our favourite restaurant from our last holiday.

our popular counter service are-
MK-CHH or cosmic rays
DHS-pizza planet
AK-y&y counter
Epcot-Sunshine seasons
Downtown-Eos, cookes of Dublin.

Many don't like using credits for breakfast as its poor value. However halfway through our holiday, we realised we were going to have leftovers. So we started to use them. As someone said its free, so don't worry too much about it.x:thumbsup2

I was just thinking....on day 1 you are going to Earl of Sandwich. While Earl is yummy, it would be a better value to go to WolfGang Express in the Marketplace. It's my favourite quick service in all the World!

While I would agree with you about Wolfgang Express being a favourite qs, the bacon wrapped meat loaf is to die for, we went twice for meatloaf and also had breakfast there. On travel day we arrived at a similar time and went to EoS that evening but even their sandwiches defeated us after seemingly eating all day since 5.30 am.

So I would leave Wolfgang until a day when you can really appreciate the food.

Thanks for everyone's responses. Very much appreciated. We both reviewed our plan today and are making a few changes. Me and my DF are big eaters and will easily manage two TS in a day and will manage 2 buffets in a day as well lol and we are not ashamed to admit it! :-D
We are going to change Boma to an 8am reservation so have good space between that and Tusker and use the QS for a hotel breakfast later in the hol. We don't want to do Character dining so going for the Tusker dinner.
Then changing Kona to Trails End buffet breakfast. We wanted to change to a buffet close to MK but done 1900 loads previously and not fussed on Chef Micky.
Finally just going to see if we can put Ohanas back a bit but not fussed if cant.
As nice as sig dining may be we really aren't fussed on going to many. We like the fun of places like 50s and TRex (I love the ribs and waffle fries here). So we are just doing Narcoossees though I am still umming and arring whether to change to a different sig. Not fussed on location so if anyone thinks another is better let me know :)

I actually think all your choices are pretty good, we also LOVE to eat at fun places and Trex is a firm fav of ours, when we did our ADRs last trip everybody thought we was insane for doing Trex twice, we knew that our boys would love it due to the dinosaurs we did worry a little about the noise due to having our son with ASD BUT he loved it :) so much so we did it 3 times lol, I actually found their food to be some of the best, I also had the ribs and thought they was to die for!

We also have done 2 TS meals in 1 day due to the fact the boys adore character meals but DH and I like good food so we on a few days would have do both, we just make sure to have decent time between so its good you have changed it to an earlier time on you AK day Tusker is great!

We really enjoyed Narcoosess thought the food was excellent and the place was beautiful, other Sigs we enjoy are Flying fish amazing food and citrocus its a must every trip for us.

I know many say not to do 2 TS meals in one day but when in the plan you don't have to stuff yourself stupid at the buffet and you can split TS meals, our kids was all on the adult plan last trip as we upgraded the 7 yr olds twins they split at every meal which have us more credits to do more meals lol and mum and I shared at Trex as there was plenty of food.

I say the more the merrier When on the DDP we enjoy dining out and yet I'm 5ft and size 8/10 so its not because I can really eat its because I enjoy what I eat ;)!

I'm glad we are not alone!! Hehe. I did find TRex a little noisy especially after a long day but put those ribs in front of me and I don't care! Lol

I agree though, we are on the dining plan and credits need to be used, just don't go crazy and fill yourself up. When we paid OOP last year we did think, only big meal if the day, fill up and get your money's worthy then we won't need to eat until tonight! But the plan makes it a lot easier.

We can't wait for all the yummy food!!
