Dining plan DVC

I have a DVC question on the Dining plan. Does anyone know if we book 2 studios (my FIL is doing the booking...we are currently booked in a 2 bedroom at VWL but are hoping to switch to 2 Poly studios at the 7 month mark) and we add the dining plan, does it pool all of the credits or are they separated by room? For example, if my FIL books himself and my MIL in one room and then myself, my husband and our 2 kids in another room, will all of our credits be pooled or will they have their pool of credits for the two of them and we will have a separate pool of credits for the four of us? Does that make sense?

Dining plan and credits are per room/reservation so they are separate.

With DVC, you cannot have two rooms on a single reservation. I understand that cash reservations can have multiple rooms on a single reservation, but it's not common or normal.

The dining plan is tied to the reservation. And since it's one room pre reservation, practically speaking, each room will have a separate plan.

Actually, DVC created what they call a "Travel Plan" and they could place multiple room reservations under a single Travel Plan. That caused issues (with CRO i believe), so now it's one reservation per travel plan. They still use the "Travel Plan" terminology for upcoming reservations in the vacation center on the member website.
