Dining plan discount

With all new attractions and lands opening and resorts running fuller, does anyone ever think Disney will discount dining only with no ticket purchase required ? They already offer discounts on memory makers. Seems really no slow season anymore, with Galaxy Edge they will probably fill resorts easily without room discounts needed. Wonder if they will ever offer like 10 % off standard dining and 15% off deluxe or something similar. People like to get a discount offer on something. I wonder what % is profit of the dining plans to them?

They already do, several times a year. Play, stay, and dine is a discounted package with dining and free dining speaks for itself. They have run both promos this year, free dining was done twice. What they do in the future is anyone's guess.

They offer a dining only discount? No ticket purchase required? Just a room and dining only for an AP to book ? Thx

No dining only discount, always packages unfortunately. You can do ticketless packages with just a room and dining, which I believe you can use a room discount for. Or just buy the tickets and stash them for later use.

I guess I asked my question kinda funny, that’s what I meant sorry . A dining only discount no package. I think they are filling the resorts more now with really no slow season.

I'm honestly not sure they ever offered such a promo, maybe they think that people with APs don't want a dining plan because of the discounts they get or that they buy a tables in wonderland card. Not that that's true, but maybe their mindset.

No, because any dining plan is available only with a package with or without tickets, except DVC members/point renters can get a full-price dining plan without a package.

I believe you can still get a ticketless package with an AP room discount, it's just subject to the package rules instead of the non-package hotel stay rules for payments.
