Yeah, that's not an accusation. An accusation is "A charge of wrongdoing that is made against a person or other party." The quoted text was indeed a violation of the rules. As I indicated above, it wasn't clear to me that the second paragraph was related to the first, and indeed, until a few minutes ago, I don't think any of us realized what she was actually asking.

A thread always goes downhill when someone feels the need to get out the dictionary to define a word. @@ You should clarify that YOU didn't realize what she was asking. It was crystal clear that she intended to use children's CS credits when she orignally asked the question. She was worried that CM would be overly enthusiastic in their enforcement like some disboarders might be.....

Alas! Yet another reason to keep those receipts. I really was only trying to make sure we wouldn't have trouble using our cs dining credits the way we want to especially since we won't always be eating together.

Unfortunately, it's a messed-up situation. Katiebell is quick to say that it would be better if Disney would upgrade their computer systems to avoid this whole mess, but they're not going to, so we're stuck with this patchwork enforcement system, which will invariably change day-by-day. Just do the best you can, and be prepared for the worst just-in-case. The front desk at your hotel, along with your receipts, can often fix whatever the CMs in the field "break".

I'm sure that Always on Vacation will have a terrific time and have no problem using the DDP because her plans are absolutely within the rules. I don't think she'll need to worry about bringing her receipts to the parks with her on a daily basis assuming she doesn't attempt to order more adult or child meals than listed on her card at any given time. There' s no reason to worry about that. The DDP is really very user friendly - the disboards make it seem much harder than it is.

I was also going to say...this next time we go to the world with the DDP I'm going to make sure I ask or tell the servers that 'Were on the DDP and would like to know if anything we order isn't included and if they have any suggestions. I know sometimes the servers will make sure you get the "most" out of your plan because that means more tip for them. Anyways they'll sometimes tell you about add on available (like shrimp or what not)...I figure by just asking upfront it would/could be benificial. PLUS I want to make sure I know and am aware if anything isn't included that I'd need to pay out of pocket for.

When my family was there in January I found that most of the servers will offer what is included on the plan as well as any exclusions. We found that it was very helpful. We also had guests join us for several meals, told the servers that there were people who we would pay OOP for. The servers were great at helping us to use the plan effectively without any confusion when it was time to pay our bill.

On your whether or not you accused Always on Vacation? You really don't think you did? Really? You told Always on Vacation that her plan was a violation of the rules. I'd call that an accusation. If that wasn't your intentions, it's how you came across. You tend to be rather "black and white" on the rules, Bicker. Just because you have a child on the plan, doesn't mean that the child has to be the one eating the kid's meal. It just means that you have to order the appropriate number of kids meals that disney gives you. Sharing , especially counter service meals, isn't hurting anyone. I have a quick question. All my kids are WDW adults so A/C issues don't pertain. However, even though my kids are over 10, I think my room card keys still list 2A 3C. Does anyone know for sure?

Your room card should say 5 A as far as the disney dining plan and park admission is concerned.

What are the AM dessert choices? A child cannot have one of those? But then the child's snack credit for the day can be anything allowed as snacks, it's only limited to jello when you use the child's CS?

Apparently, the dessert choice for a child's counter service meal is the sugar free jello. You can politely request fruit instead (or water or carrots). Adults get a dessert choice from the counter service menu- it's usually prepackaged or an ice cream or something. Last year, kids could choose one of those too. There have been mixed reports about whether kids can choose one of those (like an ice cream bar if it's offered) rather than the sugar free jello as a dessert- I guess it's up to the cast member at the register.

And yes, the snack credit is a snack credit. Those are NOT divided by adult/child at all. They are grouped per party. They are good for most everything under $4- most things are marked by the DDP logo. For example: Kids can get the large Chocolate malt and adults can get the kiddie sized scoop of ice cream.

Mostly all of the children's counter service meals included a sugar free jello for dessert. There were no other choices.

Sunshine Seasons in the Land at Epcot offered several dessert choices and children were not limited to sugar free jello.

Restaurantosaurus for lunch in AK offered Strawberry shortcake or a brownie to both adults and children.

Adult dessert choices at Counter Service places included triple chocolate cake, carrot cake, cheesecake, cookies (mostly all were pre-packaged) I mostly skipped the Adult Dessert and used my snack option later in the afternoon for something better. The snack options included so many different choices!

Now it's onto making the ressies....the part of the trip that DH just LOVES......I'm just kidding again....he just "yesses" me to death, but I still feel like he's getting some input. How bad is that?? Anyone else out there like that? He likes to do park planning, but as for dining, he leaves the ball in my court. (That can be good, and bad!)

You can always let your DD8 eat your dessert! Since most of the Counter Service desserts are pre-packaged, it's not that hard to bring them along. I let my DS9 eat some of mine since he was not thrilled with the sugar-free jello! That was fine with me.......I enjoyed items such as apple strudel with vanilla sauce and a Dole Pineapple Float as my "snacks".
