Dining Plan, can you share or not?

During our last trip, end of September, DM and I shared TS meals at CA Grill and Artist's Point. The waitress at CA Grill didn't think it was allowed initially, but then asked a manager and was told it was OK. Perhaps it's a YMMV sort of thing.

Well, I'm hoping we won't have a problem sharing meals. I have 12 different table service reservations, and we have the dining plan for 9 nights. I know we cn't share at buffets, but I ws planning on paying OOP for youngest ds at Prime Time Cafe, for example, so I can save his credit for Chef Mickey's (more expensive)

The same goes for Alfredos. All three kids will likely order fettucini alfredo......I was going to order 1 adult meal for 2 of my kids, and share their TS (an adult one, since 2 of my kids are adults) for another meal.

I don't even mind if the credits are divided by kids and adults......I just want to use them when I want to.

We don't have and kids meals credits, ours are all adult but we wantto combine on a few meals so we can save them for Hoop Dee Do.

By sharing I meal two people eating the one complete meal. For example you get an appetizer and main dish usually with sides, a dessert, and a beverage. Two people share the meal, sometimes with two large plates and other times we have used a small bread plate and just give my mom bites of everything. One person orders the drink that comes with the meal and the other person orders a separate drink and like I said two in our party normally order alcoholic drinks to boot. We base the tip on the things that are extra like alcohol or the extra beverages. The rest of the tip should be covered in the meal plan.

I figured it all out and paper and it looks good but if we get to Yachtsman and try to feed say 4 people on 4 credits (as each meal there is 2 credits) and they say no then I am in trouble. It should get us two complete meals to share and the way two members of our party eat, it still should be more than enough food. Especially with eating CS meals earlier in the day.
