Dining Plan at Port Orleans French Quarter

Help! we are staying at POFQ for a week in February and understood that if you stayed at on-site hotel you could book the Dining Plan. MS have said:

"Disney Vacation Club Members may only add the Disney Dining Plan to a reservation that takes place at a Disney Vacation Club Resort. At this time, due to system restraints, we are unable to add the Plan to a Disney Collection Resort"

We are staying at the Beach Club Villas prior to this and after this (don't ask!) so are they right or do i just ring the hotel direct and get it added?

You can't get the dining plan at non-DVC resorts if you are staying on points. You would have to get a package through CRO and pay cash. The hotel cannot add it to a points stay.

You can add the dining plan for the time you will be staying at the Beach Club (if staying on points), just not Port Orleans.
