Dining Plan at Pepper Market (CSR)?

I've been told that the Pepper Market counts as a counter service meal. How exactly does it work? I know that you get all your items individually. So if you got a Calzone, drink and dessert, that would be one counter service. What if you wanted a steak, caesar salad, drink and dessert? Would you pay for the salad? What if you wanted a chinese stir fry, an egg roll, drink and dessert, would that be one meal or would the egg roll be additional cost?

Thanks.

You get a drink and a tier 1 bakery item for dessert.

You get an entrée and whatever is normally included with that entrée if you were paying cash. The steak includes a potato and vegetable. I'm not sure what entrée, if any, includes the Caesar salad.

It looks like the WOK sampler includes an egg roll.

Pepper Market is paid less than $10 per dining guest, it's a good deal even if you wind up paying out of pocket for side dish.

The PM is a great dining experience. It is not an ordinary food court so as long as you go in with that in mind, you will love it. You are seated by a host/hostess. This person will take you to your table and give you menus and your dining tickets. If you have time, stroll around the market to get a look at the food. You can mix and match and don't be afraid to ask for things that are not on the sign or menu. What you ask for is stamped onto your dining tickets. When you are done eating, your take the tickets to the cashier.

A server will come and take your drink orders (& refills) and bring you condiments if needed. They will clear your table and take your trays to make room on your table. They also bring coffee if you like.

You can get a steak dinner, pasta, pizza, Mexican, Chinese, soups and salads and dessert.

A 10% gratuity is added to the bill. This is split among all the CM's.

If you're on the dining plan, you won't find a better CS spot than the Pepper Market. Huge portions, great choices and tasty food. Lunch/Dinner Menu

We had big plans to eat here several times during our trip since we had our own car to get there from the WL. However, we simply didn't have the time or the energy when it came down to it. Maybe next time. If you are not staying at the resort where this is located it may not be worth the extra time to go there.

We were there last week and told that you could get a tier 1 or 2 dessert. Just not a tier 3 dessert.

This extra trip to CSR was FOR SURE worth it. Our meal was soooooo yummy and there was so much to choose from!

Also, the smoothie from the side booth is included as a drink under the dining plan!

Thanks Buzz, but I'm not sure that I understand what the answer to the original question is. If I want a steak and a burrito - is that ONE entree as far as the DDP goes? Or I have to stick with one or the other?

Thanks!

Christine

We were at the Pepper Market on Tuesday 9/19 for lunch.
DH had the Oriental sampler and it came with an egg roll, a soda and a tier 2 pastry(danish).
DD had Wings and fries, a drink and a tier 2 pastry(chocolate croissant)
I had the grilled tuna and veggies (it came with mashed potatos, but I asked for them to be left off since I don't eat starches) and an iced tea and a tier 1 cookie.
The total bill would have come to $65.68 including tax and 10% tip if it would have been added up individually. When we checked out however, the cashier totalled in $12.95 + tax and tip per person or $45.26 total.
We were told that Tier 1 and 2 were selections for dessert for the dining plan. The really yummy looking tier 3 items were off limits.
The food was well prepared and tasty. The wait staff and clerks were very nice and also helpful in explaining things.
We would go back.

No, I believe the steak would be an entree (along with whatever they serve with it e.g. veggies & potato) and the burito would be a seperate entree (and whatever comes with it).

Is there a special menu that kids have to order from with the dining plan or can they order at any station? Sometimes the kids menus are very limited.

The kids menu is very limited, IMO. Chicken strips, pizza, pasta, and hot dogs.
Newbie94 - I think what you are describing would be 2 entrees. There is a ribeye steak on the menu and a wet burrito. Sometimes there is a chicken or steak burrito as a special.
We went to the Pepper Parket for dinner - there were nights when prime rib was available as well (special).
Wonderful place to go for CS.

They also have burgers, soups, sandwiches and PB&J.

Thanks Buzz - you have been ever so helpful, as usual. Six more days before I leave. I'll make sure I come back and post my just-back!

Christine
