We are switching resorts halfway through our stay. Can we choose the regular dining plan for the first half and get the Deluxe Dining Plan for the second half?

Yes. When you do a split stay, your two reservations are totally separate from each other. We just returned on Friday from 8 nights BCV/3 nights AKV & we did the regular dining plan at BCV and then NO PLAN at AKV.

Btw....8 nights on the DP was wayyyy too much food. We've been home for two days & I am STILL FULL. :rotfl:

We do the same thing if we do the DDP. After a few days on the DDP we have enough left overs to eat for a few days so we never buy the DDP for the second half of our stay.

Just be sure you use everything by midnight the night of checkout. Your meal/snack entitlements expire and cannot be carried over to your next stay. We learned the hard way last year. It was not explained to us and I never thought to check. Major PIA, had to switch things around while on vacation..

Great thanks! We're hoping to do CRT and California Grill during the second half so that's why we want to do the deluxe dining to get more TS credits.

Yes, we are leaving in 2 days and I got the regular DDP for two nights at BLT and then we are doing the QSDP for the other 5 days of the trip.

I originally was going to do the QSDP for the whole trip and just pay OOP for one sit down meal the kids wanted at Le Celliar. But, by the time I figured it all out, the cost to upgrade from QSDP to the DDP for those two nights works out to be $10.00 more than what I would have spent OOP for just one sit down and we are now getting two.

If we like the split stay option, it may become a part of our trip just so we can do the dining plan this way. We don't like a lot of sit downs, usually 2 in each trip and this is allowing us to do just that.

Have a great time!
