Dining Plan and Renting Points

I'm trying to educate myself completely about renting points from DVC members to avoid any mistakes or misunderstandings. I understand that the dining plan needs to be specified at the time of reservation and paid for at check-in separately from the initial transaction with point owner. There seems to be speculation that Disney may be offering free dining plans as their promotion for fall 2010 (since they did the same last year).

Does anyone know if this deal would be applied to guests who rented points and are staying at one of the Deluxe resorts? If it does apply to those guests, how would this work when making a reservation?

Free dining is not available with dvc point reservations.
