Dining plan and January ressies?

A friend of mine is going to Disney in the second and third week of January and I'm helping her out with her plans (I'm a WDW newbie, too, but she knows I'm a DIS addict!). She's staying for 10 days and gets 5 days of the DP included in her package. Is she going to need to make a lot of ADRs at that time of year or can she maybe make one or two and chance the other days?

How can she stay for 10 days and get only 5 nights of DDP included in a package? I'm guessing she has a split stay, because DDP is for every night of a reservation.

No idea!! She told me she has 10 days booked at the CBR with 5 days of dining thrown in for free... But she's calling me this afternoon to help her with ADRs (very funny, considering I've never been to WDW and everything I know I've learnt here on the DIS )...

Edited to add: But we're in Brazil and maybe her TA has some sort of special deal??? I wouldn't know, as we've booked our trip independently.

It's possible there is some kind of a deal for international guests, but she or her travel agent should really check to see how much dining plan she actually has.

It could be that the beginning of her trip is blacked out for the free dining promo.
