Dining plan and ADRs?

Is it possible to make ADR's ahead of time, then tell them later if you have added the dining plan? Also, is the date of 12/21 to make the ADR's for everyone, or only for those on the dining plan? In other words, would I be able to call each restaurant myself and set up my own reservation before 12/21? Thanks!

you can tell them you added the dining plan when you check in at the restaurant (you don't have to change your reservations when you add the dining plan.)

The 12/21 date is for everyone, not just people on the dining plan. And some of the threads are hinting the December date may not happen. It's been reported by Dining CM that the training is still scheduled for December, but implementation may be mid-to-late January 2009.

You can't call the individual restaurants and make ADRs. You can only make the ADRs through Disney Dining.

You don't have to tell them you're on the dining plan before you get there, unless you have a reservation for CRT or a dinner show (as those are prepaid and you might want that money back if you go on the dining plan)
