We have booked the AKL club level and have added the standard dining package. We are thinking that with the club lounge we will be able to eat breakfast in the lounge and spend very little on food during our visit.

I am wondering if anyone else has tried this and what the results were.

We did the same exact thing last year.

All 4 kids ( 16, 15, 11, 11) ate WAY more then I thought they would!

We ate breakfast everyday and then had snacks when we were back at the hotel. We also took some milks and pops back to the room for later when the lounge was closed.

It really was a great value for us. Plush they have a great espresso machine too.

Have fun!

Personally I think staying Club Level with any type of Dining Plan package is way to much food, so I would say just do one and not have both Club Level and the Dining Plan together during your stay.

We are two adults and found that it was too much food for us to do both.

I agree that the dining plan would probably be too much food, however, club level is not enough food in itself.

Yes, it will cover your breakfast, snacks, and a good part of your snacks. However, there are no eggs or meat at breakfast - so you may find yourself craving them.

Also, in order to take advantage of the evening offerings, you have to go back to the resort to get them. So that isn't alwasy easy if you are in the park. WE found that we usually took advantage of either the predinner stuff or teh desserts but not both. Then we had a light dinner in between there some where.

I personally think that it depends on how you tour. If you want to spend most of the day in a park, I think you would want the dining plan to eat while you are away from the resort. If you are one to spend more time in the resort, you might not need both. I have a CL ressie for next Nov. and plan to have the dining plan, too. With our kids ages, I don't want to drag them back to the resort just to eat. If they were older and we planned on more resort time, we would probably not have the dining plan. Also, the dining plan makes sense with our kids' ages because of all the character meals that they want to do.

We wanted to stay in Club Level at AKL regardless if we had the dining plan or not. The dining plan will pay for itself for us. I think the premium plan with 3 table service meals would be to much for us but 1 table service meal a day is typical when we are at WDW and a counter service lunch is usually what we have at the parks. If we can eat some of our breakfasts in the club lounge it will be a bonus. Any snacking that we can do there would be a benefit since we are traveling with DS17 who will celebrate his 18th while at WDW.

Last year at the Poly we received a complimentary upgrade to club level and we were also on the dining plan. We did eat breakfast every morning in the lounge and once in awhile grabbed a snack but rarely. We already had enough food on the Dining Plan. I don't think I would ever pay for club level AND also have the dining plan. Way, way too much food. But that is just me.

Its was only about $40 more a night to bump up to the club level when we stayed. So really it was a great value and convenient since not everyone wants to eat in the morning.

we're going back in may for our 2nd trip with club level at AKL and the basic dining plan. its too much food for me, but not for DH. plus we like to have our meals pre-paid. And for our whole trip it was only $189 total more to upgrade to club level for 8 nights with our pin code. that to me is worth having a nice breakfast of fruit, bagels, etc. Plus we always take tons of drinks back to our room. And we snack in the afternoon. Also IPO making our ADRs is another perk. Totally worth the extra money to me.

We also had the 40% off pin code and we would have booked a Savanah view
regardless so with club level we get the Savanah view and the cost difference was minimal

Hi..They are just snacks in the club level lounges, samples. It's good that you have the dine plan. You can combine two of your table service meals and upgrade to a better dine location.

We have done Club level at the Yacht Club along with the standard dining plan and we liked it alot. You will really not have any out of pocket except for alcoholic beverages in the restaurants. We liked the lounge for convenience, the kids could run down for a snack whenever they were ready and there were desserts and cordials at the end of the day. I liked having a nice place to sit and enjoy a beer and some light snacks before we headed out to dinner. The CMs in the lounge were also great and set up a wonderful birthday cake and drinks for my son's 13th birthday. Since we were there with extended family we all met at the lounge for the celebration and to meet before we headed to the parks. I think you will enjoy the Club/DDP combo.
