Dining Options....

DH, DS, and I will be staying at OKW (fingers crossed that BW waiting list comes through....) in October. We had a reservation at POR complete with meal plan, but I was informed by DVC MS that we can not use the meal plan while we are using a member's points.

Is there anything else we can do? We like to use the meal plans and pay for as much as we can in advance.

Keep your stay at OKW!

As far as meal plans go, I personally think they are not worth it. You basically have to order the most expensive thing in each category to make it worth while.
What we do is make up a meal budget and then buy Disney dollars to pay for our meals. This way they are paid for in advance but have a lot more flexibility than a meal plan.
Of course you do have to stop yourselves from buying all those souvenirs with your meal money, but it sure beats trying to use 2 meal vouchers to pay for a sweatshirt!

Does anyone in your party have an AP? If so you can get the Disney Dining Experience card for $50. It entitles you to 20% off most full service restauarants. Used to be for FL residents only, but now it's available to AP holders and their guests (up to 10) also.
