Does anyone know what the dining options are @ Palm and Magnolia golf courses? I know Osprey Ridge has a counter service type dining option, does anyone know if it accepts the dining plan? TIA!

I pulled up the dining plan particulars on the Disney website and it did not include any of the golf courses.

There is one option; I spent several hours one afternoon, on the patio at the Turf Club at SSR two years ago and several people walked over from the golf course to eat lunch.

They must have walked over from the LBV course. No way would they have walked over from the Palm or Mag.

The palm and magnolia are centered around Shades of Green. These are not Disney restaurants so not sure if they even except the dining plan.
You can check out their menus at the following site.

I dont think the dining plan is eligible at the Sand Trap. But I could be incorrect.

I called WDW Golf but the CM's didn't know either (both times that I called . I guess I'll just have to be prepared to pay OOP for DH's golf days lunches just in case.

Woudn't you have to have a military ID to eat at Shades of Green since it's run by AAFES?

DH (who has NEVER participated in ANY planning for ANY Disney trip we've taken, at least until this year when he decided he was going to spend an entire week playing golf) had an idea: "Why don't you look it up in one of the 5,000 guidebooks taking up space in the living room?" So. . .according to the 2010 Unofficial Guide, Palm and Magnolia have "food and beverage carts". Not sure what this means, I'm thinking hot dogs and cokes? No mention of dining plan in the guide so I'm guessing not.

Although the pro shop and support facilities adjoin the SOG, the dining facilities at SOG are accessible only to active duty and retired military (I called SOG to verify but I might call back later and see if I get the same answer).

LBV- Turf Club. Fine food! Great view!

There was a review of the Osprey Ridge restaurant back last year on either allearsnet.com or disboards.com. They were not happy wtih the wait staff but the food was ok for what it was (if I remember right). A search through the back issues might find something.

As far as the dining plan goes, I'm not much help. But "food and beverage carts" are golf carts that are driven around the course that sell cold drinks (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and often snack foods like sandwiches, hotdogs, crackers etc. Tell him to bring his "A" game, Palm and Magnolia are tough! The PGA Tour plays there every year since the late 70's with past winners of Jack Nicklaus and Tiger Woods to name a few. Not bad company to play with! I have many rounds in at Disney and the surrounding Orlando area, and Disney courses are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen.
