Any recommendations for dining in the Ko Olina Center? Any meal.

Due to a VERY unfortunate experience (during and afterwards) at Monkeypod Kitchen on our last Aulani stay, we will not return there, but are curious about any other locations there for a meal or two.

Anything good?

Several other locations you could try. Roy's is near the golf course. Mina's Fish House at the Four Seasons next door. Longi's at the Marriott.

Further afield, there are lots of good choices one exit away.

Mekiko Cantina…Mexican place right across from Monkeypod. What happened at Monkeypod?

Worth noting that we will never go back to monkeypod either
Why not? It’s one of our local faves when we’re at Aulani. We’ve always enjoyed both the food and service. I’m sure you have a valid reason. If you wouldn’t mind, would you share it with us?

If you have a car, I recommend Pho One Kapolei. It was so unexpectedly awesome and only about a 5-10 min drive
We plan to rent a car for two days to explore the island a bit and have some delicious dining planned for those days. I asked about the Ko Olina Center for the days that we will be staying at Aulani all day and may want to try something away from the resort.

The day we went to Monkeypod was very, very hot and initially they sat us in an inside table but directly in the sun. If there was any air conditioning inside that space, it wasn't affecting where we were sitting and it was very uncomfortable. We asked if we could move to another table and they kindly obliged. The service wasn't great and the food we had was just ok, nothing special. Ultimately, we returned to Aulani for the evening and then that night, all three of us didn't feel well and our daughter ended up getting physically sick. For this trip, she has made it very clear that she will not return to Monkeypod. Yes, it could've been a random thing from something else we ate that day and completely unrelated to Monkeypod, but our daughter has drawn her line in the proverbial sand.

Eeek! We really like Monkeypod and have never had any issues. Did you all order the same?

Nope, if memory serves (it was a few years ago) we each ordered something different and I don't recall a shared appetizer, but it was a while ago.
