At some time in the future we will be going to Disney with DWs sister's family. I am thinking WAY ahead. This is the plan I have as of right now. There is much time for revision, so some opinions would be welcome.
We will be staying offsite. I have never stayed at a Disney resort, although I am considering that for the next trip that DW & I take together, but there is NO WAY to convince SIL that it is necessary to spend that much.
There are no children in the party. Characters are not a priority. Touring the parks is.
DW & I have breakfast in the room and get to the parks at rope drop. A frig is necessary, because I have drinkable yogurt as my breakfast. My stomach is happier that way. Also, dinner should not be TOO late for the same reason.
Arrival Day
We get to Orlando in mid afternoon. We will not go to a park that day. Everything else is up in the air.
Epcot Day
lunch--Sunshine Season
dinner--eat around the world--Cantina de San Angel, Kringla Bakeri, Sommerfest, Yakitori, Tangierine, Boulangerie, Yorkshire Fish & Chips--snacks from several of these
DW & I have eaten at Sunshine Season, Electric Umbrella, Marrakesh, and Biergarten, and snacked at Boulangerie and Yorkshire Fish & Chips. We will need to eat something during the Future World touring. DW suggested the snacking around the world.
Studios Day
lunch--Backlot Express or ABC Commissary
dinner--50s Prime Time Cafe or Hollywood & Vine
DW & I have eaten at 50s Prime Time and Hollywood & Vine and enjoyed both. I dont think we will have time for such a long lunch, especially after they add the new Toy Story Mania ride. We know nothing about counter service at Studios. I personally am leaning toward 50s Prime Time for dinner, but planning to poll the group, H&V would not be a disappointment
Magic Kingdom Day
lunch--Pecos Bill's ?
dinner--Cosmic Ray's
DW & I ate at Pinocchio Village and Cosmic Rays. Pinocchio was disappointing. We liked Cosmic Rays. I expect us to be near Frontierland/Adventureland around lunch time.
Animal Kingdom Day
lunch--Flame Tree Barbeque
dinner--Boma?
DW & I ate at Flame Tree and enjoyed it alot. We are NOT interested in Rainforest Cafe--we can eat there at home. I have never eaten at ANY of the resorts before.
Free Day
???
Departure Day
Magic of Disney store in DTD
On the arrival, free, and departure days eating is totally unplanned. We may go to Cirque if the inlaws are interested. DW & I went last time and enjoyed it. We tried to walk around West Side afterward, but it was raining hard, so we just left and did not eat. We went to DTD on our departure day to go to the Disney store. Lunch on departure day might be a possibility this time. We have never been to Pleasure Island or Boardwalk. I am interested in suggestions for non park activities for these three days, restaurants for these three days, and comments on my eating suggestions for the other days. Your opinions are appreciated. I know I enjoy giving mine from time to time.
