Just returned from 8 days/7 nights at WDW (6/25-7/2), and we had a great time. Perfect weather (better than here in NJ), manageable crowds and some super food. I'll take it a day at a time. (We were on the Silver Plan and stayed at the Polynesian).
The family cast as follows: (Me - Trip planner. NO CHEESE PLEASE)
DW - Easy going and also easy to please.
DS (19) - Will try anything; prefers seafood. Won't gain an ounce.
DD's (13) - A - Family soup expert. Will take a try at anything. Her twin sister T is our resident carnivore. Meat, heat & eat. PICKY
Day 1 Dinner - Concourse Steakhouse
We were seated for our 5:30 PS in 5 minutes. Denise took care of our table. Service was great, no problems at all. App's were onion rings, crab cakes (love that mango salsa), shrimp cocktail and the bisque for DW and the Soup Queen. The soup received raves; creamy and full of crab. Entree's were the filet for all but the carnivore (who had a T-Bone, plain w/fries). I thought the garlic mashed potatoes were out of this world. DW got the cheddar potatoes, not very good according to her. Two margaritas for the >21 crowd and lemonades for the rest. Desserts were chocolate cake, a cappucino parfait and DW and I split the key lime tart (very good). I'm not much for dessert, I'd prefer another appy. Everyone was full but not to the breaking point. Total was about $275.00 or so, but with the Silver Plan, who cares!! This was our first time there and we WILL be back.
