Dining dilemma. BOG vs Storybook

I've managed to obtain a dinner reservation for BOG after trying for months. We have been there before and we love it.

However, today I finally managed to get a storybook dining dinner, which we have never eaten at. But I only have it for the SAME day as my BOG.

I'm going to keep trying other days to see if I can move one of them. If I can't which would you choose to keep??? I'm staying at BLT if that makes a difference.

I would go for the storybook dining myself. The food was actually really good, and the evil queen is worth the trip to Wilderness Lodge all by herself.

Don't forget, you take the nice, relaxing, possibly breezy boat ride beween BLT and WL - instead of that looonnnnng, hot, sweaty, exhausting trek to and from MK.

But seriously - you don't have to traverse park security if you choose Storybook Dining (and the boat!)

We (me and 17 & 15 year old daughters) went to Artist Point a few months ago. The atmosphere is neat, and the food, in our opinion was less than ok. We wouldn't go back. We actually had several reservations for Artist Point during our trip and ended up cancelling our remaining ones after we ate there. I'd go to BOG over Artist Point. If you have younger kids and want to meet the characters, It might be worth it to you.

Is it the food you like for dinner at BOG or more the atmosphere? We had dinner there before it became a 2 credit meal, and it was good, but we've enjoyed lunch just as much and it is a lot more affordable.

We are mostly focusing on dinner because of meeting the beast. We loved the food (though havnt been since they changed the menu)

We wanted to try storybook simply for the characters as the food doesn't look as appealing to us.

Both should be fun.
If you can move one, thats obviously is the best option, and do both.
We have been pleased with the food at BoG.
SInce you have been to BoG before, I would try Storybook Dining. Haven't been there yet, but the reviews of the character interaction have been very good.

I agree that the food at storybook seems ambitious and unique, which isn’t something we necessarily gravitate towards either. But I’ve read good reviews on it, and like the PP mentioned, have heard the character interactions there are great.

I was going to make an ADR there for our November trip, but since my parents will be with us and they are not adventurous eaters, I’m saving it for our trip in February.

I really enjoyed BOG dinner but I had never been before it became signature so don't have that comparison.

I'd hold onto them both until the last minute then see which one you fancy, all the while keeping your eye out for the other one popping up at a different time.

Frankly, I’d go to whichever place has characters I most want to meet. That would be weighed with convenience (is Storybook or BOG out of your way in regards to other plans?) and menu/ambiance third (who’s current food choices and location appeals most?)

Everyone has different tastes and needs. I really can’t tell you which ADR to keep, I can only give you my personal opinion...which in this case is with both restaurants being fairly equal (and with you not on the dining plan), I’d really go to the place with the characters I’d most like to meet,

We liked BOG before the menu change. It was our worst meal at disney world after the change. Our food and server were terrible (never refilled my water despite multiple requests after a hot day, soup was cold, waiter did not check on us after we got food so I couldn’t tell him my pork tenderloin was raw and therefore inedible, and that dessert platter was pretty but tasted disgusting). We also had to wait in line 35 minutes (after waiting 45 minutes for the check) to meet beast since he doesn’t visit the tables.

Storybook was great. Hands down the better meal.
