Dining credits on room key - how does it work

If there are two adults in the room, for example, are all the dining credits put on one room key? Or how does that work? Thanks!

Everyone in the room gets their own room key. Each room key has access to all credits that the reservation/room is entitled to. So, with only 2 adults, each room key would have access to (# nights stay) times two (for two adults) of TS, CS, and snack credits. It's like having two ATM cards for the same banking account. The money is all there until some uses some of it, then both cards still have access to all of the money that is still left in the bank. This makes it easy to use just one key to pay for meals when you are together, and also let you split up and still both have access to your meals. Hope I explained it well.

Right now, my daughter will be checking in a day, maybe two, before me. The hotel will of course have me listed on the reservation as another adult and I know I will have to pay DDP for all days in the ressie, even though I might be joining her a day later.
If she wants to meet a friend at a TS service restaurant that takes two TS credits, will she able to do so or if they decide to go a 1 TS restaurant, can her friend use one of her credits. Will 2 Adults be listed on her key she gets upon check in if I haven't yet checked in?
Can I go ahead and give her my Disney Rewards to pay for my portion of the DDP, as I had planned to use this. I may actually meet her in the parks (after I arrive by plane) before going to the hotel and I would like to be able to use my DDP at the parks.

Two adults will be listed on her key. It would be totally against the rules for her to use 1 TS to pay for her friend. Bicker is a frequent poster on this board and if he reads this, he will be able to post the appropriate place from the DDP rules that clearly shows that sharing DDP credits with those that are not on the DDP plan is prohibited.

Once your daughter checks into the hotel, I would think that both keys will become active with ability to charge all credits that the reservation is entitled to use, but I am not sure. You may want to start a new thread to get that question answered. My key was my admission into the parks. So, in my situation, I would have to meet a family member outside the parks in order to get my key so that I could gain admission. If you purchased park admission separately and could get into the parks, I would think that you would be able to use your key to charge DDP credits as soon as it is in your possession, assuming that it does become active when your daughter checks in.

I should have specified that I have an annual pass and am a DVC member getting the DDP with my stay. (DVC members can get the dining plan without having a package.) And we pay upon arrival at the hotel; it just has to be added before we arrive at the resort.

I don't know how your reservation would work. If she purchased admission tickets with her package, which she would have to do, then her admission ticket is her key. I have no idea how the reservation works with you being different with DVC, because I always thought that all people had to have the same deal on a reservation.

We all are staying on my DVC reservation; (and we all have the DDP with DVC) It is just that she is checking in a day before me and therefore, I will not be there to pay for my portion of the dining plan. I am coming in the next day, using ME, so my luggage would be taken directly to the hotel, but I wanted to go directly into the parks to meet her. Therefore, I was wondering if her key would have us both listed as adults--(I had read on these posts that you had to appear at the desk to get your own key.) (She already has her ticket purchased.)

I can send her cash or my Disney rewards to pay for my DDP. It is just I would not yet have my key and was hoping that hers would have the 2Adults listed, so we could use the dining plan when I meet her in the parks.

All the keys have the people that are on the reservation, so her key should say 2A, so there should be no problem just using her key to eat on the DDP.
