Dining/booking question

Hello All!

We are arriving Sept. 27 ( after the current free dining promotion) - here is my question- we want to stay at POFQ and would love to get free dining but if it's not offered we still want to stay here. How do I go about booking my trip? Do I have to have dining/tickets on the ressie in order for them to apply free dining if it is offered? Can I cancel the dining plan on my ressie if it is not offered? Also if free dining is not offered we want fewer days on our tickets ( 7 or 6 instead of 9). Would we be able to change that as well? Does this all have to be done before 45 days check-in? Sorry for all the questions!

The best thing you can do is book a package with room and tickets with the least amount of tickets you think you will need. Then wait for a discount. If one comes out, just call to see if can be applied to your reservation. There is no reason to add a dining plan now. Any changes within the 45 day window that cause the overall price of your package to go down will incur a $50 change fee. If you decide to add a paid dining plan within the 45 day window, they will likely wave the fee since your package price would go up, and payment would be due in full at that time. Dining plans must be added no less than 72 hours prior to arrival.

Ok, so I can book now with just room for 9 nights and get 7 day park tickets, but if free dining comes out it can be added for the whole 9 days no problem? What would be a reason for us not to be able to add it?

Yes, you can book it just as you have suggested. The only reason you would not be able to add it is if you booked at a resort or room type that wasn't included in the promotion. They only have a certain number of rooms/room types for each resort, but as long as you call (if and) when the promo is first released, you stand a great chance of getting your first choice of resorts/room types. FD is based on the number of nights you stay, not length of tickets, so no worries there.
