Dining at Universal

I've just realised that we have no dining arranged for our 2 days at Universal.

Can you guys make any suggestions for breakfast, lunch and dinner?

The only thing we know we want is to eat at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. for dinner on day one? We'll probably get a danish or something from the GF for Breakfast on Day 1 (we're planning on driving earlyish)

Can you made reservations (he days 2 weeks out!!)

we are staying at RPR for the first time onsite and I know the guest realtions will make reservations for us.I presume if you call in before you nter the park or call the resturant direct they should be able to book you.

If staying on site you get priority seating so it isnlt essential to make reservations. We have eaten breakfast at the Kitvhen at the Hard Rock Hotel and that was good, Margaritaville is fun palce, food is fine but not gourmet, Hard Rock cafe was abtter than we expected. this time round will probably try Pastamore

Margaritaville is great in the evenings (when the stilt walkers and balloon hats come out!)

Ive been to universal 4 times every time ive eaten at the Monsters cafe,
really nice food (rotisserie and pizza) and a great decor,

I completely agree on Margaritaville...definitely eat there!

Monsters Cafe is open seasonally so it's only open now around very busy times like Mardi Gras and HHN. The food isn't bad but not my first choice at the Studios. I prefer Louie's at the Studios for counter service and Finnegan's for table service. At IOA...my two favorites for lunch are Mythos for table service and Thunder Falls Terrace for counter.

The last time we were there one of the places we tried for the first time was Finnegans - inside US opposite the Mummy ride.
It was excellent food and really good prices as well

We have also eaten in Margharitaville, Pastamore, Nascar, and NBA. In my opinion you can't really go wrong in any of them - although DW swears to this day that the steak in NBA was probably the best she has ever had anywhere.

We've only eaten at Margaritaville as US, but it was a great setting and good food. Would definitely recommend!

Universal - Lombards
IOA - Mythos
City Walk - NBA City

I can highly recommend Cinnabon for breakfast. It's traditional for us to stop for Cinnabon Stix on the way in to either Uinversal or IOA in the morning

We love the pizza at Louie's Italian Restaurant at US. They do a special offer of buying the whole pizza and its massive and delicious!

We always eat at Hard Rock, its just tradition and DF loves the Burger King Whopper Bar- you get to make up your own whopper

We were thinking of eating at RPR's Tchoup Chop. It looks lovely. Has anyone eaten there?

Emerils for or anniversary was fab - see if they still have the banana bread pudding dessert, it was out of this world!

I was just going to recommend cinnabon for breakfast as well - those buns are a dose of cinnamon heaven! They are big enough to make a lunch as well, I find! I got one in London last week and it was so big I couldnt eat dinner 5 hours later . . . that's not like me!!

I have to agree with Kenny, Finnegans is lovely, in fact when we were booking flights on Sunday and debating how many nights at Universal, Ians decision was based on lunch at Finnegans!! We love Margaritaville and The Hard Rock but a lot of that is alcohol related, I would never set foot in Nascar again, had the worst dining experience in there of my life.

we had an awful meal at nascar,the restaurant itslef is v loud and the food was greasy and tasteless.
dh enjoyed looking at the cars, but never again (and it was the most expensive meal of our trip

I hated Finnegans !! Food was fine but service was appalling and one of teh very few times that I felt the tip was undeserved !!! As a family of 6 they automatically added 18% but our server was just down right rude too us !!
It was loud in finnegans too as there was an irish band playing - worst meal we have ever had !!!
