Dining at the Bar - Recs?

I'm going to Peppa Pig World with my family for a few days in early January - my niece will be THRILLED! - I'll .... be thrilled to see her enjoying it. Instead of coming back to the cold, I just decided to stay an extra 9 days solo to do a working-remotely Disney trip. I'll be staying off-site with a car and AP - plan is to be fully relaxed and just go with the flow. When solo, I love dining at a bar - plus it gives extra flexibility since you can try (although not always successfully) to walk up without an ADR. My favorites have been Flying Fish, Shula's, Toppolino's, Nomad Lounge, Jaleo, Morimoto's and (RIP) the Wave.

What are you favorite places to dine at the bar in Disney (parks, resort, Springs)?

Bonus points to anyone who can confirm whether Yak and Yeti has a bar that one can eat at. It's been on my list forever, but I've never made it yet - this could be the trip.

As a solo traveler I usually end up eating at the bar. Some of my favorites not listed above are:
Topolino's (Riviera)
Cali Grill (Contemporary)
Territory Lounge (WL, great menu/lounge bites)

Issue for me is getting into the resorts without an ADR. I usually take the skyliner into Riviera, walk to Contemporary from MK and boat to WL from MK.

Solo trips are the best! I've gotten so used to going alone that I'm more easily annoyed when I travel to Disney with others.

Sounds like a great trip! 2 of my favorites are the bars at Citrico's at the GF and Steakhouse 71 (formerly the Wave) at the Contemporary. I used to enjoy solo dinners at the bar at Narcoosee's, but alas, it's currently closed. If you're up for more of a "bar snacks" type of dinner, try Tambu Lounge at the Polynesian. I've made a dinner out of their wings, pot stickers and egg rolls. Fun vibe there.

Yes Yak&Yeti at AK has a walk up Bar .
Have you become a member with Landry’s Club ?
If you go to Stk71 Bar be sure to order the onion rings ( if you like them) … The bartenders are great and convinced me to return for breakfasts cause she said it was her favorite place to dine. I figure anybody that wants to return to their workplace on days off ….
must be good !
During the holiday crowds I just discovered , the walk- up was upstairs bar with great view of Disney Springs at SplitsVille. Plus they have great sushi and great hamburgers and friendly service.
My daughter just went to the walk-up bar at Wine Bar George . They love this place for their Disney Springs visits. Plus Morimoto upstairs.

Crockets tavern at fw and geyser point at wl are my two favorites. The food at Crockets is just ok but the p&js takeout right next door is good. Crockets has just such good ambiance at the fort. The food at geyser is great

Homecomin’ Is a great bar to grab something to eat at. Usually no issue grabbing a spot and the bartenders are top notch. Also like Geyser Point(WL), Tambu Lounge(Poly, and serves several items off ‘Ohana menu), City Works is good to catch a game.

Wine Bar George - full menu, amazing food and wine selection

Steakhouse 71 - also have the full menu and pretty good availability

Geyser Point - delicious hot sandwiches, and Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful place to spend an evening

Nomad Lounge - not sure if you can order off the full Tiffins menu, but they have a great bread service and some other bar plates

Homecomin - I really like the moonshine cocktails and the chicken fried steak

Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge - full cocktail menu, plus the cobb salad and I believe you can order off the full menu

crew's cup at yacht club always seems to have at least one real deal meat entree available from the yachtsman menu.

when i was there last month, it was a pork chop, now it seems to be prime rib.

the bartenders seemed to be super helpful - i wouldn't be surprised if they could order other yachtsman entrees as well.

Many of my favorites have already been mentioned - Flying Fish, Boathouse Dockside Bar out on the water (walk through the restaurant and out onto the dock), Wine Bar George, Homecomin, Citrico's, Nomad Lounge, Steakhouse 71, Brown Derby Lounge, Geyser Point, Territory Lounge, Topolino's.

Not yet mentioned, I can't recommend the Bull & Bear lounge over at the Waldorf Astoria highly enough. The food in the hotel lobby bar is great too. Also the rooftop lounge at Capa over at the Four Seasons is pretty stellar with lots of small bites available (they also have a 'regular' bar you can sit at) and I've heard the lobby bar at the Four Seasons has some great happy hour deals.

It's technically not a walk-up bar but I love sitting at the cooking place at Jiko where you can watch chefs preparing some appetizers and desserts -- and if there's no room (ask at the podium) the Victoria Falls lounge or Sanaa over at Kidani Village are great options. Also enjoy bluezoo and Il Mulino over at the Dolphin and Swan, respectively. Crew's Cup at Yacht Club can be nice but a limited menu.

Some happy hour "deals" over at Disney Springs if you're interested ... Sangria Hour at Jaleo 4-6pm, Terralina's outdoor bar has happy hour daily also from 4-6, STK has happy hour deals M-F from 3-6:30, Jock Lindsay's does a mid-day HH from 12-3, Hole in the Wall bar adjacent to Raglan Road has happy hour from 11am-5pm (can get food from Cooke's of Dublin).

Have fun!

FYI.... And if you're into wine(or want to explore), the bartenders will help put together a wine tasting based on your budget. I was there in the spring and wanted to try some high-end wines that I would never be able to try otherwise -ranging from $400-900 bottles. You can get 1oz pours for a fraction of the cost, from some of the worlds best/rarest wines. I chose four different wines and was surprised when George himself served the wines and gave me the full rundown on all of them and answered my questions. One of the best experiences I've had going to Disney and I've been going for the better part of Forty years.

Thank you all so much! So many great recommendations - some that were on my radar but I've never tried and some that I didn't even realize existed. I'm now looking forward to a very foodie vacation.

Hope you have a great time. Would love to hear what you tried and what your favorites were after you're back. Always looking for recommendations. And if you find any good spots on property to set up with your laptop would love to hear those too. I also work remotely and am generally just doing solo stuff (as opposed to having to be on calls or Zoom meetings) so no reason I couldn't do it at Disney. Might be a goal for 2023!
