Dining at IoA/ Meal Deal

Please help! First timer at IOA with two questions.....
1. Do we need reservations to eat lunch or dinner at Three Broomsticks during the third week of August?

2. Can someone please tell me about the Meal Deal? Looks like a decent price for lunch and dinner?? How does it work? Can you eat anywhere? What is included off the menu? Do you have to purchase it ahead of time?

Three broomsticks does not take reservations for lunch and dinner.

The meal deal is only at a limited number of places in each park. The list is on the universal website

SZ is correct. Three Broomsticks is a counter service restaurant and does not take reservations for lunch or dinner. The only time you have to have reservations is for breakfast but that's only if you purchase a package that includes breakfast.

The meal deal isn't that great and because there are only three restaurants in each park that participate, you'll only get standard theme park fare. You cannot share on the meal deal and frankly...there are better places to eat that are not on the meal deal. You can purchase the meal deal at either park if you decide to wait.

the meal deal does not include beverages.


you can buy the md inside the park on the day of.



breakfast is not included, mdeal begins around 11:00 and ends 30 mnutes prior to park closing.


i've done the meal deal before but only on vacations where i have 10 night stays.

i find there are too many fantastic places to do lunch/dinner at than the selected few on the participating list.

The DW and I just got back from a five day Universal Studios/Islands Of Adventure vacation with on-site stay. We also had the four-day park to park tickets and bought the four day/two park Meal Deal passes for each of us.
