Dining at Hilton Head resort

2 questions .. are the restaurants ok at this resort? do they do character dining?

I have not stayed at the Hilton Head DVC, but we do vacation at Hilton Head every summer. From what I understand, there is only Quick Service at the resort and you will need to go out into town to eat at sit down places.

Exactly! I think they said that part of the "deal" with the Town Fathers was that there wouldn't be a restaurant at the resort. Lots of good options in town, however. If you like seafood, we like Black Marlin, Skullcreek, Kenny B's, Poseidon, Old Oyster Factory, and the "very fancy" Sea Shack (that's a joke-think plastic table cloths and a roll of paper towels on the table-we love it!)

There are no full-service restaurants at Hilton Head. They do have some quick service dining options that are open seasonally. As there is no restaurant, there's also no character meal. Mickey, Minnie, and Pluto have occasionally made visits at the resort. The characters you don't want to miss at the resort are B'Lou Crabbe and Shadow.
