We are staying at Coronado Springs for the first time on our upcoming trip (in 2 weeks!!!!!) and I just wondered if anyone here has reviews on any of the restaurants at the resort, mainly the QS because I believe all of our TS credits will be used in the parks. I remember reading mixed reviews on Pepper Market a couple of years ago, any recent experiences? We haven't quite decided if we will spend our arrival day at the resort and have dinner there, or head over to Disney Springs instead (or both lol)

I liked Pepper Market. This is one big food court, and set up differently that the food courts in the other moderates, but it is bright and clean. We really liked the chipotle bacon burger.

PM was okay but a bit slow last summer. My favourite QS at CSR was Siesta Cantina by the pool.

Too bad you cannot do a TS at CSR because Maya Grill was one of our best meal at WDW!

Chipotle bacon burger sounds delicious right now!

What was your favorite thing at the Cantina? That might be good for our first night since we do want to swim. Do you know if the ice cream at the Cantina counts as a snack credit? Or the ice cream/smoothies at Cafe Rix?

Maya Grill, Is definitely a true hidden Gem. GREAT service, Great food, fun atmosphere... I also loved the way the had the PM set up..( This was back in 2010 ) I believe it's changed now?:confused3 But the food was great there..And best of all Once you got your food, ypour drink was waiting at the table & no need to get on a line to pay...All this was done afterwards when you leave.

That was the old system, and was replaced at least 2 years ago by the same food court system in place at most of the other resorts.

I'll be odd man out and say I'm not a fan of PM. When we've been there the food was slow to come, and I don't love the heavy reliance on TexMex for entrees. The best I can say is its not awful.

We were at CSR three weeks ago. We ate at Pepper Market and Cafe Rix several times. I loved the variety at PM and everything was tasty.

I liked the food at PM but with two small kids it seem to take forever. There where different stations and if everyone wanted something different then you need to get in different lines, wait while the item is made( which seemed to take a very long time), then get in a different line for the next item, etc. We went at an off time, so it wasn't even that busy and still took forever. It kind of reminded me of Sunshine Seasons at Epcot , but not as tasty with longer wait times. We don't usually eat at the resorts, so it could be how they all are.

i ate at cafe rix, pepper market, and maya grill and granted this was back in 2011 but i absolutely hated them all.
they were the worst dining experiences i've ever had at WDW.

i wasn't happy with the choices at cafe rix.

the service was absolutely terrible at the other two restaurants with waiters that had nasty attitudes for no reason.

We liked Pepper Market, my favorite was the empanadas. Oh, we also went to the café that sells gelato and fruit, etc. The gelato was very good, and the fruit was fresh.

The food court is nice and serves food that is a little bit different to other counter services.

We have stayed at CSR several times and have always been happy with our meals at PM and Cafe Rix. Gelato is very good - my son always has to have the coconut while we are checking in!

Yea. I thought I heard, or read that it had changed....I really liked the way it was set up back then. Less aggravation & stress. Just go get your food & sit down & eat it while it's hot. Sry to see it go. Not that I'll be back at CSR anytime soon, being a DVC member. Unless they do DVC mods? in the future:confused3

We are DVC, and staying at Coronado in less than 2 weeks! We love our DVC, but DH and I are getting away for a few nights by ourselves, and are taking advantage of a nice AP discount instead of using points. We have stayed here a couple of times before and just loved it. Yes, the Pepper Market is a little different than other food courts, but even our pickiest eaters have enjoyed eating here. Cafe Rix has been great for an appetizer and glass of wine in the evening. We haven't tried Las Ventanas in the past, but are planning on it this trip. Can't wait!!!
