Hi everyone,

I will be on a Disney cruise for a business trip and my husband and I tend to eat separately due to our schedules for this coming one!

I am thinking about dining at Palo and Remy by myself for the evenings. Has anyone done this?

I'd love to hear your reviews on these experiences since most of these restaurants are romantic, etc! Not nervous to dine by myself (as I do it all the time when on business trips), but just didn't know and wanted first hand opinions, etc!

Thanks in advance!

Certainly you may dine alone in Palo/Remy. It's been done before.

I've seen single people, friend groups, etc. it's not just for romance. And the staff is so attentive you won't feel alone.

Awesome! Thank you guys! Both times we've sailed, we've never seen someone solo, so I wanted to see! - Much appreciated!

Love dining alone at Palo! I am always treated like a princess.

Remy is a bit too frou-frou for me, so I have never done it.

Since you've never done it, perhaps it isn't as from-frou as you think! We have dined there 3 times, and it is one of the most comfortable high end meals (actually any meal) we have ever had. Truly friendly waiters who don't give any hint at all of stuffiness, a relaxed atmosphere, nothing that expects you to be knowledgeable in the fine art of gourmet food, just good explanations and zero, I mean zero, hint of any judgement at anything you say, want, or do.

It couldn't be a better introduction into one of the best meals you will ever have, and I still don't know how they do it for the price, which is extremely low compared with comparable dining experiences on land.

With the food on the menu, it is frou-frou. I am not overly picky, but quail and the other exotic stuff is way over the top for me.

I have dined at both Palo and Remy on my own. Palo was wonderful every single time. But, I cannot recommend Remy as a solo diner. To be honest, the waitstaff made me feel like I was imposing on their time and taking up a table where two or more people could have sat. I was also not offered any upsell items including caviar, which I was looking forward to. I made the assumption that caviar had been removed from the menu, until I saw it offered to the tables around me, none of whom were solo diners. I have no complaints about the meal itself, which was delicious, but the service was not what I expected. But to end on a positive note, Palo is wonderful and I would absolutely recommend it for both dinner and brunch.

I have completed over 10 solo cruises and with the exception of my first cruise I have requested and received my own table in the MDR and have enjoyed countless meals at Palos and one meal at Remy's. I have no problems dining alone and in fact enjoy my solitude. I've never felt rushed and enjoyed all my dining experiences but I did feel that my meal at Remy's seem to go on forever. Depending on the cruise I think I will skip dining at Remy's for my future cruises.

I'm no stranger to very good restaurants (even went to Victoria & Albert's at the GF hotel at WDW in 2015 and loved it), but I did not like Remy at all. I loved the decor and the atmosphere, but I didn't care for any of the food. I also love Palo and wouldn't hesitate to have dinner there alone. I agree, the food is too frou-frou.
