Hello all! I am new to this forum and site. My BF and I just booked a trip to WDW for March 23-30 '09. We are staying at the CSR which I have stayed at before. This is our third time to WDW each, but first time as a couple (we went with our families previously). I am looking for some recommendations for restaurants. We already have a few in mind such as the Coral Reef and Spoodles. We are on the DDP and get 1 snack, 1 QS meal, and 1 TS meal. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

DH and I really like Maya Grill at CSR and Turf Club at SSR.
Tutto's in Epcot is very good too.
You might even want to try the Moroccan restaurant in WS, or Biergarten in the Germany pavilion. Always yummy.

We really like Le Cellier and Askershus (sp?). For CS we love Wolf Gang Puck in Downtown Disney and WP Cafe was pretty good for TS also. We also love the dinner shows SOA and HHDR (They take 2 TS credits).

We got back about 3 weeks ago. Our favorite meals were LeCellier and breakfast at Chef Mickey's. Our favorite CS was BY FAR WPE in DTD Marketpace. One of the best meals of our trip was there.

Even though it gets mixed reviews, we love 'Ohana. Chefs de France was great as well as Citrico's.

If you are willing to part with 2 TS credits I would recommend Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue. Everyone in my family enjoyed it and we saw tons of couples there too!! The food was good and the entertainment made it one of our most memorable disney experiences.

We also loved breakfast at Kona Cafe and Crystal Palace!!

DW and I like Kona 1 TS, Chefs 1 TS, Le Cellier 1 TS, Narcoossee's 2TS, Citiro's 2TS :thumbsup2

My husband and I just got back from our honeymoon in Disney, it was our first time as a couple there, too! We used the dining plan, and I'll never again go without it!!

Our favorites were:

California Grille (Those nighttime fireworks were spectacular, and the food was absolutely delicious) - 2 TS credits (it's worth it!)

Boma (YUMMMMMMM is all I can say about this buffet!!)

Crystal Palace (it really made us feel like kids again - Winnie the Pooh and friends go around and mug for the camera! - plus the food was very good for a buffet!)

Raglan Road (It's not on the "approved" list yet for Downtown Disney, but I'm assuming it will be soon - the atmosphere was sooo fun, the food was absolutely delicious - I highly recommend the "It's Not Bleedin' Chowder!")

We actually had lunch at Coral Reef, we didn't like it very much - we waited for an hour and a half for our table (yes, we booked ressies ahead of time, and another group ahead of us had waited 2 hours for their table), the food was overpriced (even for the plan) and small portions... I even found a bone in my fish, yuck! Their lobster salad was warm and soup was lukewarm... but the atmosphere was gorgeous, so it's really a toss-up.

We didn't really like Les Chefs de France either, the steak was tough and the duck was cold, plus it took almost 3 hours to eat there, we had ressies at 6:15 and we STILL missed Illuminations, even though we tried to emphasize to the waitress that it was our first time seeing it!!

We did the Fantasmic Dinner Package with the only available restaurant, Mama Melrose - and I thought some of the food was really good, it was a nice little spot in the back of DHS, so it was quieter for a couple!

I hope this helps!!! :) Have a terrific time, whatever you decide to do, it'll be amazing, I'm sure!!!

I'm with you on the Coral Reef. Friends of ours rave about it, but other than the aquarium I don't think that it has much going for it (mediocre quality and overpriced).

I loved the Whispering Canyon Cafe and it was fun. I agree the Coral Reef was just soso. If you are a pickey eater I would stick with buffets. Chef Mickey's is good, Crystal Palace, and Hollywood and Vine. Le Cellier had great steaks and the deserts were good as well. Wolfgang Puck Express is a CS meal and I really enjoyed it, it was more than burgers or pizza for CS credit.
