Well I've been MIA for a few days...sorry about that!
As an aside, when we got home from our trip Dbf discovered that he had lost his camera. He took many more pictures than I did so this was really devestating. We called Pop, and they did not find it in the room. Out of curiousity, we called Disney Parks Lost and Found hoping he had left it on the bus on our way home from Epcot on our last night. To our surprise, someone had found it (2 days later) in a gutter in the Epcot parking lot! He just got it back and it has a picture of the imfamous Flame Tree bird (or teradactyl as he calls it) so I will be sure to post the monster once he sends me a copy!
Back to the reviews...
When I last left off Dbf and I were at DHS...towards the end of the day we had some adult beverages by the Backlot Express..they have a bar over there! I had a Red Hero: a mix of Myers Dark Rum, Blackberry brandy, banana liqueur and juices $8.00 and Dbf had a beer.
My drinks was STRONG! Beware...if you can't hold your alcohol this may just knock you off your feet!
Before we left, I grabbed a sangria from the bar.
As we were walking we got some popcorn and a big soft pretzel..but our hans were too full to take a picture.
After seeing the Osborne Lights (amazing!!!!) we took the boat over to Epcot for our 8:30 reservation at Tutto Italia. I'll preface this review by saying sorry if I offend anyone, I know that everyone's experiences are different but this is going to be a negative review (the only one of the trip!)
I was really looking forward to this meal and I had high hopes after reading so many great reviews here on the DIS. We originally had a dinner scheduled at 50s Prime Time Cafe, but I decided to cancel it and make one at Tutto instead. I totally regret it...
We gave them our name and were seated promptly (as an aside does it bother anybody else when the people working there speak in their native language in front of the guests? I saw the maitre d (sp?) and a waitress say something in Italian then start laughing hysterically after a guest had walked away from them...)
We were seated to the right of the restaurant. Someone came over and brought us water and a basket of bread with olive oil.
Problem #1: Where were my veggies and olives?? I had read about this wonderful little bowl of veggies and olives that came with the bread. I LOVE olives so I was planning on asking for extra. I looked to the tables around me and didn't see the bowls anywhere. They were on the menu (I speak French so I can decipher Italian somewhat if it is written).
Our waitress came over and took our drink orders (she told us no less than 3 times that my glass of wine and Dbf's beer would not be included on the dining plan and we repeatedly had to tell her that we knew that...) and our entree orders at the same time.
Problem #2: The 2 meals I wanted to try most were no longer on the menu.
So I ended up ordering bowtie pasta in a cream sauce with prosciuto. I don't see this on the menu at all ears. Dbf ended up ordering the spaghetti: veal meatballs and pomodoro sauce $24 because "it was the only thing he could pronounce."
Problem #3: She left and, no exaggeration, literally
less than one minute later a food runner brought out our food. I was really grossed out. Obviously the food isn't made to order and either it had been sitting out in the kitchen pre-prepared and under a heating lamp or they just keep a pot of cooked pasta and cream sauce sitting out (yuck!) We hadn't even gotten our drinks yet and it wasn't because our waitress was slow, the food just came out shockingly fast. Dbf dug in but I refused to start eating until I at least got my drink!
Our waitress finally came over and said "sorry for taking so long" even though she hadn't, and gave us our drinks. It became apparent at this point that they were trying to heard us out of there as quickly as possible.
Here's the picture of my meal:
Problem #4: Now, I've eaten enough pasta in my life to know the difference between hand-made pasta and pasta from a box. This was pasta from a box. The sauce didnt taste home made either.
I didn't take a picture of Dbf's dish, he said the meatballs were dry. I tried a bite of his spaghetti, and it tasted like boxed pasta and canned sauce.
Then we ordered dessert, I got Copetta Sotto Bosco - berries, zabaglione cream gelato and chocolate sauce $14.00 mostly because it was the most expensive thing on the menu and I was so angry at that point that no dessert could cheer me up and Dbf got sorbetti.
My Copetta Sotto Bosco:
The fruit was frozen, not fresh. As in it was literally still hard and cold. And who in their right mind would pay $14 for this??? I think this is a scam to serve the least expensive thing to make at the highest price and hope that everyone on the dining plan gets it so they aren't losing money.
Here is Dbf's:
This meal gets

out of 5. I honestly don't have one good thing to say about this meal. The service was lousy. We were extremely rushed. The food was lousy. The prices (if we weren't on the
DDP) would have been outrageous! $30 for boxed pasta??? $14 for a sub-par ice cream sundae?? And no olives!! Maybe it was an off-night, but I won't find out if it's good other nights because we will not be returning. I really feel like I should have complained and gotten my credits back. This was a waste of 2 credits.
Again, I'm sorry if you love it...this was just my experience.
