I got my Ding Fares this morning we are going to Disneyland!!
Total for 3 Adults to and from DL = $616.80 !!!

Alaska was going to be 3 Adults round trip to Orange County = $822.00

I saved enough to buy Sea World tickets, which is why we are going to fly into San Diego!! Then out of LAX.

I'm so excited!! I had to come share with the DIS buddys!!

Off to secure our hotels, wish me luck.

Oh does anyone know of any discounts on Sea World tickets? Has anyone swam with the Dolphins at San Diego Sea World??

That's a great DING fare!!! How exciting!

My DING fares were lackluster this morning, unless I want to fly to Albuquerque, Cleveland, or Philadelphia. :sad2:

What's up with Alaska airfares lately anyway?! They used to be fairly competitive with Southwest fares, but this year they've been way up. So far up that they don't even come close to Southwest's fun fares (or anytime fares, or whatever they're called now).

Sorry, I don't have any info for discounts at SeaWorld, but maybe someone else will chime in with some info for you.

Good luck booking your hotel! Have fun!:woohoo:

Alaska may be gearing up for there Jan - April Kids fly free to DL.

I don't have a little kid, she's 21 now, so I didn't want to wait for Alaska Air.

Check out seaworld's website. Last year we got a "buy one day get another day free" ticket, and when I checked a few weeks ago it was still there. It was really cool, especially b/c the first half of our first day at Seaworld we weren't really pleased with it. Started turning around after we saw the "pets" show, and then we only had half a day left! So it was GREAT to get to be there another day.

Also, they have a one hour tour + admission that allows you another day as well, and it's not much more than the one day fee (or the buy one get two days fee, of course).

So if you do have two days for San Diego, the two day ticket could be nice!

getawaytoday.com has Seaworld tickets for $46, adults at kids prices. with $10 processing or shipping fee I can't remember. But that is where I am getting mine. for next month.

We never get Ding Fares for SNA in Sacramento and most of the time the Web fares are high too.

Send some Ding Fares our way for January!

Looks like it's LAX again!

Hey, not to hijack the thread, but could someone PM me w/info about DING? I keep seeing people refer to them, but not sure what it is or how to get going with it.
Thanks!!!!

Its a little program you download from southwest.com

Every day (I think) they send messages thru it regarding airfare specials. You set your home airport and it sends you deals from your airport to destination XXXX. Its normally different every day and I dont think I've ever seen flights to OC from Seattle, but I do get fares to LAX, Vegas etc. Good deals if you can fly on the dates the fares are for.

I've received DING fares from Spokane to SNA, Ontario, LAX, San Diego, Sacramento, and every other city in California.....and every once in awhile, I receive a DING fare to Orlando.:cool1:

If a DING fare can get me close to a Disney park, I'm happy!

The only problem is, we're members of the Alaska Airmiles program. However, if the DING fare is just too good to pass up, we'll book it and save our airmiles for another trip.:thumbsup2

What I do on Ding is set my airport, then add, the airport destinations I'm looking for.

For Example, my airport + LAX + Onterio + SAN Diego then I watch then all, because if I see my airport has a flight to San Diego, I can check to see if San Diego has a return flight to my home. This time they didn't, but we have Grandparents in San Diego to visit a great start to our trip, then when I checked my other airports LAX had the return flight to my airport!!

Ding a Trip is made at $89 going and $89 coming back home!!! Non Stop each way. 3 Adults = $616.80. Got to love that!

I have Orlando and Tampa on my Ding most of the time, too! While sorting out airfare for this trip, I have seen more dings for Orlando than I have in two years at great rates.

There are 2 things you need to do before Downloading Ding
1. Be come a member of Southwest's Rapid Rewards program, it is key to make Ding work!!
2. Before Downloading Ding you Must disable your firewall or it just won't respond at all. It is scarey, but it only takes a few minites to download.

here is a link all about Ding with the Download

I've been using DING for a couple of years now, but I'm not a Rapid Rewards member. How would this help make DING work for me? If it makes it so we can go on a lot more Disney trips, then I NEED TO KNOW THIS INFO!:woohoo:

First, I was told to by a fellow DIS'er while following instructons to download Ding

The Rapid Rewards is you log in to Southwest Air. Plus with every flight you get rewards towards a free flight. And if you are logged in it helps you fill in your purchase info[what you decide to tell them] Which could help in a rush to secure the ever popular Orlando flights!!

You get 20% off with your RR Card to any Sea World and Space Center Houston.
