When I booked my Ding in June I booked it as a round trip. If I wanted to cancel just one way and re-booked it with a new Ding 'cause the time works better, can I do that or do I have to rebook the whole round trip again? The new ding is $15 more per ticket each way so if I can keep the return flight, I'd save $60...

they were able to cancel only my return flight so I could take advantage of the $64 Ding that came out. Very helpful people at SWA !!!

I had an experience opposite from Pooch. SW would not cancel half a trip and allow me to rebook with Ding. In the future, I plan to book each half separately if possible.

It most likely depends on which half you're changing. If your changing the outbound flight, the agent has to reprice the entire ticket.
