Okay I posted all week about low fares from Chicago to Orlando and what do you think happened yesterday  Of course while I was at work and can't download ding they had a great and I do mean great fare!!! I checked it in the morning. I didn't realize they have several of these a day. How am I going to live by the ding and get anything done! They are killing me, just killing me!! I guess I just needed to vent. I sure hope this happens again and so help me if I miss it again :rotfl: I might be in the loony bin. Does anyone know is there always like a little envelope when it is a new offer you have not seen? I just noticed that this morning. So maybe that will help me with checking.

There's always a new envelope when a ding appears. I can't get it at work either and I always check once I get home.

Can you please explain to me how I get ding LOL Thank you!

If you go to Southwest's website (www.southwest.com) there is an icon to click on right on the home page to install the ding. It will give you a small icon on your bottom taskbar (southwest colors) it looks like an airplane tail. When "dings" come up you will hear the southwest logo ding and you will see a mail icon across the top of it.

I am sorry that you missed out on the Chicago to Orlando fares. I was lucky enough to catch it just in time. I got roundtrip Chicago to Orlando for 3 people totaling $346. I have to say I was very excited. The good new is that they will offer it again. I have been watching for awhile and they always repeat the offer. So keep your eyes open!!

good luck :wizard:

The only Internet access I have is here at work and I can't download Ding here. I did get on SW this morning atnd saw the $49.00 fares and thought I would book it during lunch not realizing it was the Ding airfare for only a short time. Would anyone be willing to e-mail me here at work if it comes up again or I would even be willling to do a PM and give you my work number. I'm looking to go for the Wine and Food Festival:wave:

I would be happy to let you both know if Chicago to Orlando comes up on Ding! The problem is that you can only book Ding! fares through the Ding! notification. You can't just go to the Southwest website to book it. I generally go on line often during the day so I could let you all know, if I am not out for some reason, but unless you have some access to booking, I am afraid it will just frustrate you more. I would be happy to book it for you too, but I can't imagine you want to trust a total stanger with your credit card info! Let me know if I can help!

Thanks Muriel.
I belive I can book them without going through Ding because I did see the $49.00 fare this morning and I could have booked it but thought I would just come back later and book during lunch. I thing Ding just lets you know it's available. I'll PM you.

I just tried going to the regular website and doesn't show up. It is on until 11:30 PM so maybe there is someone who can book it for you by then. Let me know if there is anything else I can do!

You Guys are the Best!!!!!!

I saw this message and left work, yes I said left work and ran home! I don't get off until 12 and would have missed it. I may have been homicidal at that point. But thanks to you guys I ran home. It was not on the screen at first. Then after a few minutes I had the little enevlope pop and there it was!! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: I got 4 tickets for $462!! Can't beat that. Now just to break the news to dh he is on a camping trip this weekend. Think he will notice that I cashed in the big jar of change? LOL! Anyway just wanted to thank you so much! :grouphug: Now to plan the rest.
