:confused3 I went to the seaworld orlando web site, for the dine with shamu, and Its not listed.

Does anyone know, if this is no longer available at all? or has it just been discontinued for a period of time?

Any assistance is greatly appreciated. I know my dd has been looking forward to this when we go in August

I havent heard anything official, but if I had to venture a guess, its been temporarily suspended after the incident a few weeks ago.It most likely will be back in a few more weeks.

I heard or read somewhere that it's suppose to start back up in April. But don't quote me on that. I sure hope they bring it back. We are going in September.

I've been confused about why they stopped that, anyway...was Tilli the main draw at DWS? :sad1:

We had reservations for April 8, and I got the call Monday that they were cancelling it. They gave several choices to pick from. We went with the full refund and they made us ressies for Underwater Shark Grill for same time. We were definitely disappointed. The customer service rep wasn't sure when they would offer Dine with Shamu again.

OMG how sad...... we have it booked Monday 19th April, no news from Seaworld yet, but guess it will be canceled! :confused3

Wow, this is sad. We did this last year and loved it. The food was much better than I expected, unlimited Bud products was a plus, and we loved watching the whales and trainers. We were fortunate enough to have a perfect table at the fence, right in front of one of them. Sadly, it was twilight so my pictures did not come out very good. Maybe they will start this up again once the trainers are allowed to handle the whales directly again.

I had an email from Seaworld today saying that DWS is cancelled until 11th April. They expect it to be available again after that but it is not guaranteed.

Actually no he was part osf it, usually they used different whales on different DWS sessions. But since he was the "main star" they tend to use him more often.

Oops sorry to spread bad info - I thought this is what I was told :( He was the whale at out DWS dinner.

thank you all for the feed back! I so hope they bring it back. When I gave my DD the choices of where to eat, this was the first one she picked. I was also hoping to suprise her by getting a really good seat, since I'm OCD about planning trips

I'll keep watching to see if there are any changes, I'm sure you'll all be doing the same!!:thumbsup2

I think getting really good seats is the key. We did this on Christmas day 2008 and our table was not up against the rope. And honestly, I didn't think the experience was worth the money. Mainly because it was hard for my kids to see anything. I think it would have been much better had we been in the front. Don't get me wrong, we still had a good time. But being in the back, I just didn't think it was worth the money.

Yes, this is very sad...we were thinking about doing DWS but have just about decided anyway that we would rather do the "Dolphin Encounters" tour but still I hope this is resolved soon as I know many people find this to be a very special experience.

:sad2:

Thanks for the update! :thumbsup2 I had the same question as the OP because I was on the Seaworld site yesterday and didn't see it offered.
