I went last we were all soooooo looking forward to it and to be honest my DD who was 5 was quite upset by it. We didn't see much and the food was standard.
My DM who had paid for it thought it was way too much for what it was.

Let's hope it's changed, sorry to be negative but wanted to try and help

Take it from someone who has held a Platium Passport to Seaworld since 1996; Dining W/Shamu is an awesome time. Several times we were sat at the waters edge and when your eating and listening to the trainer talk about them and what funny things they do and ALL OF A SUDDEN ones HEAD comes to your table and sprays water at you, IT IS FUNNY!!!! Your wet, your food is soaked and you have a wonderful memory that lasts forever.
I'm really sad to hear the lady from above have such a bad experience and negative. Everything is what you make. So please, go, enjoy and create that wonderful memory and take LOTS of pictures.

Hello - any update from your trip?

I'd love to hear if this is back open too.

We took my son when we was eight. He was never interested in a character breakfast at Disney, but this was right up his alley.

Last October (my son is 14 now) when we were at the park and walked past, he asked if we could go, and we got last minute tickets and really enjoyed it. So we've actually gone twice now. We didn't get pool side seating, though, this second time, and my son would like to go again March 2011 and wants me to sign up as early as I can, figuring our chances to get pool side seating are better with early sign up.

Personally, I think of this as being overpriced for what it is, a buffet with good but not great food and a half hour talk by an Orca trainer or two with one of the Orcas in a close by small pool doing a few things. If you are a personality who just can't get enough of Shamu / Orcas, though, why not? It's a very pleasant / enjoyable experience. I'm a sucker for my son's enthusiam and am planning to go again in March if this is open.

Just tried to book and they said it won't be avaliable until the end of June.

i spoke to someone in guest services and a trainer they said dine with Shamu is not going to be up till Mid July and even then they are going to have some changes.. So expect it by them.. Personally im sure they arent going to have it up till late july/august cause thats their busy season.

^^ do you know whether they'll bring back the photo tour? I loved that one very much last year and would so love to do it again next year!

Thanks for the update .... does anyone know at the mometn if you book a vip tour, where you end up eating rather than the dine with shamu?? We are booked for august so loads of pixie dust it comes back

I read somewhere that you're getting a Shamu Lunchbox. But I'm not sure whether that's true or not!
