"Dine with Animal Specialists... an "Untamed" Lunch at Sanaa"

ACH!!!!!!!!!!! I was hoping for that date (how odd, given the randomness of dates) for my soon to be wife and I. I hope this program continues - sounds great!

Ugh, I was considering this and also would need that date :sad1: We will eat at Sanaa either way, but learning about the animals that live there sounds so interesting.

Please keep in mind that you do NOT need to be staying at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge to partake in this new offering. It is available to ALL Guests.

I'd do both. :D

OMG, thank for the info on this-it sounds like something I'd definitely want to do. The only problem is that you said that it's only offered on Wednesday, and technically I won't be staying at the AKV on Wednesday night. I'm staying thru Tuesday nite and checking out Wednesday. Is that OK-come to think of it, I don't remember if you even have to be staying at AKV to book it. I'm transferring over to BCV that day, so timing's not a problem.
The other thing is that I've got the Wanyama Safari booked for Monday night (this is the last week in September, BTW, and I'm solo). Would you recommend doing both of these or substituting lunch at Sanaa for Wanyama. I'm not really afraid of "overload"-I'm fascinated with all things related to the animals at AKV.

Alright, you talked me into it:thumbsup2(doesn't take much to convince me where AKV activities are concerned. I call AKV Concierge?

You can... or just PM me your name, party size, names of everyone in your party (first names only) and ages of the children, allergy/dietary needs information, and a contact number and I can pass it along to book as well.

Just updated to note that I do need a phone number for booking. Just name, number of adults and children in your party, allergy and/or dietary requirements, and the date that you are interested in booking for (Wednesdays only). I also need the names of everyone in your party (just first names is fine) and if they are a child, then their age (anyone under 18).

Most all dates are wide open until the end of the year with the exception of October 26th (only room for one that day).

Just PM you for November 9 for 2 adults.

Toast,

Quick question on the menu (I'm assuming yours is more accurate, but have to ask anyway :p), you mentioned that they had the Beef, Chicken, and Shrimp... on the Disney Food Blog they only mentioned Chicken and Shrimp (along with rice). Which is it? I don't eat Chicken or Shrimp, so I may have to find a quick bite to eat after :p (yeah, I'm going to give it a go either way :))

I'll find out if they've changed the entrée dishes since the previews but I don't think that they did. I'll post as soon as I find out.

Gee, I was so excited about it, I made reservations not knowing (or caring) what they're serving. It would be interesting to know, though.

Heh, me too!

It's not that big of a deal for me, since I'll be going either way, just curious. Besides, I can likely (maybe?) order something off of the menu and just pay for that in addition to this lunch. I'm sure that Sanaa and Disney won't mind me giving them even more money!

This sounds like an amazing experience. I'm going to see if DH is interested in doing this while we are there in September.

Menu information was already posted... I altered the starting post to reflect the menu as well with the exception of I was wrong about the short rib, I forgot that it was not included, but a bowl of basmati rice was instead for the third portion.

Does anyone know if the $49 includes a soft drink at all or are these additional?

I just sent you a PM.
