Anyone go to this event? There are 4 of us but only 2 can go as that is all the space left. I think there was an error in making the reservation 2 for this and 2 for the restaurant so here is my question : DD(12) is obsessed with all things Disney and knows more than most wants to work and marry there so I was going to give her one ticket who should get the next ticket DS(turning 15 while there) who is interested in design or a parent. I know they will behave if they go alone. Just looking for thoughts.

While your 15-yr-old may also enjoy the lunch, I am going to vote parent for the other ticket.

I have been to many of these, and while older kids or teens have been to and enjoyed many of them, I can see how unaccompanied minors attending together may be uncomfortable.

Also, from a service provider point of view, while Disney probably doesn't have an official policy about this event, I could see how they might not want to allow two unaccompanied minors to attend without an adult, since the event does involve things such as use of a credit card, availability of alcoholic beverages (not that your kids would ever try to get one, or that Disney would serve them, but that others in the party could order and consume them), etc.

We haven't been yet, but we have a reservation for next month because we kept maniacally checking online until someone's cancellation opened up two spots for us.

How many days do you have before the lunch? You might get lucky if you're persistent in checking for late-breaking openings.

Good luck!
