I have my resort booked for August 19-September 2
So the rental car would just change by one day.
I would fly in on the 19th and fly out on Sept. 2

I have racked my brain trying to come up with a better solution for you! Is there any way you could postpone the vacation until your DH could go too? January is a wonderful time to go. I would also suggest trying to stay at Shades of Green, the armed forces resort at WDW. (You may already be staying there! ) It is an AWSOME resort!!!! You could get a nice deal there and there is Disney Transportation. I do not know if you have ever been to WDW with your kids, but it is VERY exhausting. I do not think I would try to do it by myself. I KNOW I would not try to drive there by myself. You are probably a very capable woman, but it is just so dangerous in this world for a woman alone! Having said all that, I could not find any rental car rates below $470 for your dates. The only other suggestions I can come up with are to check and see if your current resort offers Disney Trans, and if they do, take a taxi or Mears transport to and from the airport to the resort. Also, there is availability at Disney's Port Orleans resort for your dates. You might be able to cancel your resort, and book room only at POR, giving you Disney's free Magical Express to and from the airport. I really would hate for your husband to miss such a special time, I think you would also ejoy it more with him there. I hope things work out for the best for you, sorry I could not be more help!
