Dilemma w/# in room and ME

We will be heading to WDW in a few weeks. We will be going to SSR for 2 nights then moving to another resort. Friends of ours will be coming at the same timea dn staying w/us in a 2 BR at SSR for the 2 nights-total there are 9 of us. So, we need to get all 9 of us (we have 2 different flights) on ME--but each person on ME needs to be booked on the room ressie-I believe we can only have 8 in the room --is that correct?

Of the 9 3 are adults and the rest are children ages 8-14.

8 is the maximum in a two bedroom at SSR.
