nicurn, great page!! DD doesn't look like she's having much fun.. LOL But great shots of the band!

quiltymom - beautiful!!! That would look great framed!

I love seeing everyone's LOs. Great work! :thumbsup2 I've got to get busy myself.

I did want to report that the link for Friday Flea Market Quickpages 3 is now up and running!

I can't figure out how to use Britt's paper shaper templates. I have have PSE 6. Any advice? I can use my magic wand to select the template (if it is something simple like a bracket or scallop border) However, if it is more involved (such as multiple circles that are not connected), I can't figure it out. I'm sure there is an easier way. Anyway with advice? Thanks!

There's something with the "contiguous" box up at the top of the screen....it either needs to be checked or unchecked, and that will select anything that's the same color as what you click (like multiple circles instead of just one, etc). other than that, I'm not sure what else you could be doing wrong.....

exactly what's happening? I'm using PSE 5, but I can try to help!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Unchecking the box worked! I really appreciate you replying; I thought I was going to have to click every little circle and diamond to use those paper shapers. DIS is great!

This is my first time posting something on this thread! I've been thoroughly enjoying everyone's LOs. What a talented bunch of people are here on the DIS!

Here's my first LO for here. I was inspired by the "golden" Visa ads that have been shown on the Olympics. I'm not sure if I'm done with it yet since I like to tweak things until they're dead :goodvibes , but here it is:

Most of the stuff is Creative Memories.
The sparkle and swirls belong to a wonderful designer out there - I didn't write down the name when I downloaded her stuff. (Oops - sorry!)
The "crinkle" paper is Shabby Princess, Harvest kit.
Font is Chocolate Box

quiltymom - COOL PAGE!!!! I have also never seen a Pocahontas done up from the boutique! She is beautiful!!!!!!!!

Here's my latest LO. It's for both the scraplift (I scraplifted Melissa's awesome wave kissed toes LO, and I'm sure that won't be the last time!) and color swatch challenge at SM.

Special thanks to Christy, who commented on the LO at SM a few seconds after I posted it. ;)

I don't think I posted this one yet here. It's not Disney related (though I can stretch to make it Disney since she works with them & I've done several Michelle-related LOs already), but it's one of my favs. It was for the Template Challenge & Scrap Olympics Go For the Gold challenges (2 double dipping in a row!)

nicurn-What a cool concert LO! I just downloaded that kit the other day, too!

quiltymom-Ooh, that's gorgeous! What a great idea, getting inspired by those Olympic commercials! And I agree with Disney Baby, I've never seen anyone made up as Pocahontas from BBB before. Such a cutie!

Melissa & Christy-I've already commented on your LOs at SM, but they are beautiful, as always! Christy, I must be your son cause I loved PUSH & had to make a LO about him too. :P

Suzi-No way, I think your LOs are adorable!!

stenogoddess-OMG, those dresses are too cute!

I can't remember where I left off in commenting, hopefully I'm caught up?

Quiltymom, that LO is priceless for sure! Really, really nice!!!!

kswm, beautiful layouts!!! I love the colors! also love how you tied the two pics together with that ribbon in the first page!

Hey Everyone! Stop scrapping and go right here right now and scroll down a little bit:

This is my thread for the cruise I'm going on with my siblings in Oct. This lady was showing us the clothes she MADE, made people, for her girls. I have never seen anything so amazing and cool and neat in all my life. I was totally blown away. I wish she would adopt me. Or at least teach me some of those skills. Y'all have GOT to see it.

I am finally catching up on this thread - I have only had my new laptop for a little over a week and I am still transferring stuff - thank goodness for external hard drives! Anyway...

OMG!!!! I have seen boutique clothes before - but she needs to start a business!!! I bet I could get my 3 year olds to dress like that but my 7 year old would laugh at me! I always put my girls in coordinating outfits and make hair bows -but WOW - she has skills!!!!

I love to lurk on those DISBoutique threads. Those people really do have amazing skills. I am not into the boutique boy clothes, so I just have to lurk and admire their amazing work on the girls' clothes! They are adorable! I'm not sure if I would dress my kid in them, but I don't have a girl, so I don't really know!

quiltymom - beautiful!!! That would look great framed!

I'm planning on putting it in CM's Everyday Display. That way I can display her brochure and sash on it, too.

Thanks! I think she's a cutie, too. But then I'm a little biased! We brought her Pocahontas dress with us since I didn't think they sold it there. She had quite the time. It's amazing just how the CMs there go out of their way to make the experience special for each little (and big!) girl. The BBB is definitely worth the $$$.

I so agree!!:thumbsup2 We take my dd every year, and actually this coming 2009 when we go in March, i will be doing it too! I figured, if i can do a 1/2 marathon earlier that day, and then i am going to the Pirate & Princess party, i might as well treat myself to a day at the BBB with my DD! princess: princess:

We have DISBoutique threads? I had no idea. Where are those located??

I spent way too much time on this LO, and now I think I might hate it. LOL Is it just me? :confused3 It probably is. Any comments on how to do something else with this thing would be greatly appreciated.

The kit is Sweetness and is one of the ones I got from SM during the sale. It's really pretty, but I'm worried that somehow I'm overpowering the LO with too much of it, maybe. Or it could be that work has been really slow and I've been just stewing around the house like a lunitic, too.

Either way, here it is:

They are on the Families board. Here is the most recent thread. They are already on their 8th 250 page thread! We may need to follow their lead and start a new thread ourselves when we get to 250 pages (although I think they started allowing the super long threads again recently)

Lauren, it looks fine to me! My only suggestion, is maybe to make the title bigger/chunkier/stand out more... but i think the lo is fine!! And if you are really bored you can always go running! LOL
BTW- are you near downtown Savannah? (along the water)

I think it looks beautiful. Though if I were to change something I think I would take off the yellow papers and just go with the green and reddish/pinkish one. Then just change the color of the title. Your photos are beautiful! It is a beautiful layout.

Jessica: Thanks for the link. Those people have some amazing talent. I think I'll just stick around here! I can barely make my own curtains. :goodvibes

Caitsmama: I'm up to week five on C25K thank you very much! I'm really proud of myself, but also find myself strangly unmotivated today. Hmmm.
I actually live downtown Savannah two block from Forsyth Park, which is our big park that's a mile around so perfect for training. The river is at the other end of town. We usually walk down there to eat and then walk back so we feel better about the calories! :rotfl:

Melissa: Thanks for the imput. I think I'm going to try chaning the papers around a little bit. Good idea!

Lauren, very nice! We went to Savannah in Feb. 2007, we LOVED it there!! What a beautiful city!!!
I think i have a pic of my dd at Wet Willys bar somewhere, lol.... maybe i can post it tomorrow.. i gotta go do my layout for the digi challenge that ends in like -- uh, a couple hours.. LOL
