Hi all!
I've been working on something a little different for me..............Sepia!

I've been wondering............... Does everyone work on 12x12?
I scrap 8 1/2x11 to print as photobooks. I use Shutterfly but have been wondering if other companies are as good?

<------Woo-hoo!!! I just noticed I hit 1,000 posts! Yay me!!! Anyways, here are the layouts I did today. All of them are for my Michigan at Gettysburg book. For some reason, I was really feeling inspired to work on them. Here they are:

4th Michigan Infantry

I used the sanded away edge action from Atomic Cupcake to give the photo kind of a rough edge. The swirls are just brushes. The quote is from one of the speakers at the monument's dedication ceremony.

5th Michigan Infantry

This was the first Michigan monument we found when we visited Gettysburg the first time in 2006. I used a bunch of actions from Atomic Cupcake to create the paper and used the burnt edges one on the photo. The pin is also from Atomic Cupcake.

7th Michigan Infantry

Swirls are just brushes. I thought this one needed a touch of color and went with green because of the shamrock on the monument. That monument was hard to get a good photo of because when we got to that part of the field the sun was setting and you had to look into the sun to get the front of the monument. I've learned you should tour it backwards if you want good photos!

I LOVE this BOOK! I live about an hour from Gettysburg and DH is the history geek of the century! Both of his parents are actually buried in the Gettysburg National Cemetary.

Your beautiful book has inspired me for a possible Christmas present for DH!

Thank you Kelly for thinking of me. I have been through quite an ordeal but I am on the mend now and hopefully should be fully recovered in 2-3 weeks. I feel well enough to sit at the computer, but I'm still slacking on making layouts!

but I am very excited... I got my shutterfly book today of my 2006 sept/oct disney trip and it's beautiful. I think I'll go sleep with it! LOL Unfortunately, my son wants to keep looking at it, but I don't want his grubby fingers touching it!

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better and on the way to 100% health.

You know what, those layouts will happen, your health is more important, keep resting and having DH wait on you hand and foot while you can, you deserve it.

There were over 100 pages in DD's photobook and 40 + in DS's. Maybe I could put together a dvd for you.

Wow..... sounds very similiar to something I experienced two years ago with a staph infection. Did they say what kind of infection you had and what it was from?

I also have been watching this thread and enjoying all of your beatiful work, I guess its time for me to start posting some of my pages, I specifically wanted to answer Susans question about 2 page layouts.
I usually do one page at a time knowing there will be a left and a right...they dont always have to match exactly but as long as you have some of the same elements/theming in both pages...here are some 2 page layouts from our April trip

Goodness Fran! That sounds like a lot that you just went through. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I totally think you get a do-over trip though.

I'm glad to hear you are happy with your shutterfly book. I've really been thinking about giving one of those a shot. How many pages big can it be?? Mine tend to be pretty large and I'm thinking it might not be big enough.

Hey y'all!

I was working on this page tonight just to see what I could do. This is what I came up with. I think it's kinda cute, but I have no idea what to do with it. I can't decide to add more pictures of that parasailing day, use it for journaling or .....

I just used all my creative juices! Does anyone have any ideas to spare?
