Renysmom-
Again thanks for the downloads! I love looking at everyones pages. I can't imagine going back to traditional scrapbooking after going digital. Gee now if I could only sell the $$$ worth of scrapbooking supplies I have.

All of these layouts are so beautiful. I have so far to go before I could even compare to these beautiful works of art. I am almost embarassed to post my simple layouts.... I had wanted to post them sooner but my computer decided to give me a hard time so I ended up having to reformat the drive to get everything working again. Now I 'think' I am back to normal and can get busy scrapping my last Disney Cruise but here are the last pages that I had not posted from our Disney trip this past Sept.

I may decide to go back and rework some of these pages but on the other hand, it is kind of a relief to have this trip done...KWIM

I hear you...I often feel the same way. I just started scrapping our July 2004 trip today...and we were there for 2 weeks so I'll be feeling that way again pretty quickly!!!

Nice pages. :thumbsup2

Lisa0503 ~ Love those halloween ones!!!

DisneyLisa~ I like how you did the Donald's Breakfastosauras in Donald colors :thumbsup2

jessica and maryPoppins -

You are welcome. I hope you found something that may be of use to you. When I get time I will see what else I can create.

Lisa - Love those character layouts, may have to scrap lift a few ;)

Here are 3 bright & colorful "fun" layouts I did for our June 2006 album.

I love the papers use used...especially the first one with the Mickey heads...can you tell us where you found these, or did you make them yourself?

Thanks,
Jessica

Thanks Jessica.

The first paper I made myself and I'm trying to find what the others are. Because I never thought I'd post my layouts anywhere, I didn't keep track of what I used. I'll post as soon as I find them. :)

Edited to add: OK just realized I definitely know the last one (the Donald layout). It's Scrap Girls MRE_Brian..I love the stuff I get from Scrap Girls (I belong to their monthy club).

Off I go to search for the Piglet one now. :)

Lisa - No problem.. I love that first paper too. Now that I know I will try to recreate :)

Lisa -

More great layouts. I will have to run over and check out that kit. It is so colorful. Although I did spend some money at Roberta D'Achilles store this weekend (Rendered Memories). She has a bunch of her kits on clearance through tonite for $1.00 and $1.50.

Between those sale items and a very rainy, dreary day I scrapped 10 layouts today. I will get my last trip scrapped before my next one :lmao: only 230 days to go. The new layouts are all on the front page of my blog. Link below. I would love comments as always.

10 pages in a day...I'm impressed! Great job! Thanks for the heads up on Rendered Memories...I'm off to check it out. :)

A couple of years ago I bought a program called Scrapbook Deluxe. It had a lot of wonderful premade templates, graphics, fonts, etc. The problem with it is when you printed out the pages even their premade templates were off, the right border would be completely missing. I have struggled with it and had some good results. I am used to designing layouts for my job as a bank trainer. Out of frustration I am going to be investing in a new program as soon as I decide between Paintshop,Photoshop, or Photo Impact; I just don't really want to spend over $100 but do not want another cheap program that is going to design well but then print something completely different.

My real confusion after reading this thread, has to do with printing. Do you guys then print these pages out? I read in an earlier post where it was recommended to design in 12X12 but how do you print that out? When I was printing out my pages I would print them out on photo paper but I thought I read a recommendation to print on card stock? Are you designing these pages just for your websites or our some of you still filling traditional photo albums.

Everyone of the layouts on this thread have been wonderful, you guys should be SO proud of yourselves.

I print my layouts out as 12x12 on my Epson printer then place them in an album. For the prices you can get 12x12s printed in the US though, I'd be tempted to get them professionally printed. When I add up the cost of ink & paper ($2 each here just for a glossy sheet plus about $80 for the 2 print cartridges which does about 20 pages...that's ~$120 for 20 printed pages :( ), I'm tempted to send mine to the US to have them printed (haven't seen anywhere here that prints for the costs I've seen advertised in the US). I've also been hearing a lot about shutterfly's 12x12 books and am considering giving that a try for pages I don't already have albums for (I bought an album for each trip we took to Disney so want to put my Disney layouts in those).

I printed out an 8x8 album I just did for a friend I went to Disney with last year (we're going together again this Friday...yippee :)) and it was nice but with Dinsey layouts I sometimes want 3 or 4 pics on a page & I found the pictures a little tiny on an 8x8 layout. I actually scrapped them in 12x12 & printed them in 8x8. When I printed the same layout for my album in 12x12....I loved the layouts...big difference. Now I did an 8x8 grad album for one of my sons (paper scrapping) with only 1 or 2 pics per page a few years ago & loved the album. :) Just my personal opinion/experience but thought I'd pass it along.

I have a large format photo printer (Canon I990) so I print everything here and then out into albums. I also design in 12 x 12 and then print in 8 x 8.

I tend to highlight photo's more than the kits in my layouts so it is rare that I have more than 2 pictures to a page. I've been printing at home for years.

Good Morning...

So I decided to re-do my pages (I have only done 3 so far) to try to alleviate that cluttered look...

Please let me know what you think...I have learned so much through everyone's comments and tips here.

The paper and some of the elements are from the Brian Kit from Melissa Renfro at Scrap Girls (Thanks DisneyLisa for that information...I love this kit!). The rest of the elements are from Gloria Ketchum at Digitals (from her Mouse Scrap kit and Honey Bear kit).

Thanks!
