Thanks for this. I have PSE, too (version 3 ), but I'm hoping to get PSE v 5.0 for Mother's Day along with a Wacom tablet!! I still think I"ll use SBC+ a lot, but I want to branch out into PSE as well. I am totally loving this digital stuff! I"m so glad I found this thread, I'm having so much fun with everyone here!

Those of you doing the digital scrapping how do you print the pages? My printer can't do the 12x12 size so I was wondering how you print the pages? Do you order it from a website?

I have a 12x12 Epson printer, but that being said - i NEVER print the 12x12 size..LOL, i do it all in 8x8. More economical and easier that way,then i save them as 12x12" on a cd too, in case i ever want to have them printed larger.

i am doing 12x12 digital pages, but i will create a shutterfly book with all the pages. cheaper then printing individual pages. Plus the book is bound and ready for viewing... If i had a option close to where i live, i would consider getting 12x12 prints but our Costco, Walmart etc(CANADA) do not have print sizes for 12x12. So, i would have to order from US, and pay a large shipping fee. So, i much prefer to do the book now.,

i print 8 x8 from home......i wait until i have 10 -15 pages done then do a printing marathon. also i saw that target had some new disney 8 x8 books yesterday....may have to pick one up for our 2009 trip.

Totally cute! I haven't used that paper or big mickey form the kit yet. I may steal your idea! Love it!

As for printing, I plan to get my Disney layouts done as a 12x12 Shutterfly book. I just ordered some prints from SmugMug and Shutterfly in 8x8 and 12x12 so I can see how they look. I will probably stick with mostly books for myself and prints for gifts. I'm thinking of giving each grandparent a top-loading album with a few pages in it and then adding layouts throughout the years for them to slip into the books. I'm trying to decide on 8x8 or 12x12 for those! I'll let you know how the prints come out!

I've gotten 2 shutterfly books so far and am very pleased with them. Each one is a full vacation, one disney, one not. Disney one is 65 pages, other one the minimum 20! LOL

Hi,

I am a very new digital scrapper, but not a new digital element collector, almost as good as shopping for paper scrapping, but no gas and most of it is free stuff. I work on PSE 4 for mac, will be picking up PSE 6 as soon as it reaches the shops.

This photo was borrowed for practicing. The template was collected last year, by Tracy's Scraps. logo is borrowed from the web.

Love it! I got the free cardstock, too! Thanks! I am 100% addicted to digital freebies! I like the swirls with the sparkly edges, too. Where are they from? I think the Mickey head is form one of the Britt-ish Designs, kits, right?

How does everyone store all these digital goodies? My laptop is filling up fast! I just got an external hard drive for stuff, I just can't decide what to keep where. Any suggestions?

I moved from a 80 gb external drive to a 500 gb drive.

I love the collecting, but after a year I have found that I have becoming more picky, or know my style better on the freebies.

Now I am sorting them slowly, and I discovered Adobe bridge, which makes it really easy to see my stuff.

that's me too- i have gotten way more picky and/or the frenzy of *needing* stuff has worn off

i organize with Picasa and tag EVERYTHING. so, when i need to find a blue bow, i can just do a search for that and i get all the blue bows i have.

we added a 200gb internal drive. the external drives are too wonky and unpredictable to trust all my stash on. we just use that for backups.

How do you tag stuff in Picasa? I know how to do it in PSE, but I haven't figured it out in Picasa yet.

What is Adobe bridge?

It is an organization tool within the Creative Suite family, it has way more functions then I use at this time, but I should use more of them.
